This is the game I needed at this point in history to make me feel better and more hopeful. It rekindled something in me. I'm hoping it's the reset you're after like it was for me, because it's a real capsule world and a refuge that I know will be there for me when I need it, but also when I want it.

Life is fairly uncertain right now, in a lot of ways. At the moment, I guess in response, I end up playing a lot of games that should make me happy, with good reviews, all the boxes ticked, and "soul", and almost no games that do make me happy. This is one of those rare games that actually does, and I really just want to go out and share it, stick a sticker on my car, get a poster, and pretend for maybe 10 or a lot more minutes a day that I'm in it. I thought I'd lost that a while ago.

It feels like things like values, idealism, working in the shared common good and foresight have fallen by the wayside in the modern world, and the idea of a world of wonder that could have been, or could be, (like mass effect) is more important than ever, not just in the instructional way, but for the soul. Something to keep you going. This game gave me all of that, but it felt real as our world every step of the way, and somehow for every emotional beat it pulls you along with it, no matter how jaded or emotionally dysfunctional you otherwise might think you are.

From the design languages, to the sexual chemistry, to the straight up lurid sex appeal, to the existential dread, to the adrenaline of combat, to the npc banter that makes you cry for a world with funny co-workers that don't stare at you blankly when you make a joke that you forgot wasn't in their social media humour codex of the week again.

And despite their more recent release and whatever you think of it I can't think of a game collection I'd recommend any higher or that I care about more than this, and it's not a competition. Don't agonise over whether because this is a new remaster it has like one recolour of a car wrong or moved a hair wrong on npc 248s model or lacks some special ingredient, it's all there, I think they preserved what make it special. seriously get it, it's all amazing. I recommend this game

Stroli has an amazing community, as people on this game spend hours fluffing around we all tend to help out newbies. The game itself is amazing ply in depth... LIKE REALLY FLIPPING BAJESUS IN DEPTH!!!
