Most importantly, the game is a buggy mess which makes it hardly playable in the first place with the constant crashes, stutters, and graphical issues. On top of that, the main plot line is thin and unengaging and most of the non-main parts of the game are highly repetitive. The forced diversity distracts immensely from one's enjoyment from the game as well.

The game is at its best when you are exploring the wilderness, when you are in nature and get to see truly stunning scenery, particularly in the extreme south of the game (Clagmar Coast region). There are also moment of whimsy that are truly captivating and magical (the dancing cauldrons come to mind) but such moments are preciously few, sadly.

Overall, a disappointment, although I am cognizant of the fact that I mainly bought the game because people were up in arms over it. JKR is still highly brave to do what she does, as is anyone who dares fight against the woke weirdos. Cheers to her.

As a huge fan of the original Life Is Strange, I purchased the entire season pass as soon as it was released. In the time since and particularly with the latest episodes, this game has started to drag in a big way. As such, I have been forced to come to the conclusion that I should not have bought this.

Here's why:

1. Choices Don't Matter

Unlike the first game, which did suffer from this problem at points, this release has this issue in spades. It feels increasingly like the choices you make are largely irrelevant, and even seemingly major decisions ultimately boil down to nothing. The fact that the same story is forced down your throat, without change, regardless of what you do, seems to make the choices you do make pointless.

2. Politics

Boy is this a major issue. The game's tonality is aggressively liberal, with digs being thrown at white Americans, at Trump, at conservatism in general. The people that oppose the main characters are portrayed as cartoonishly evil and racist and honestly, to call it overbearing would be an understatement. Is portraying certain stereotyped individuals bad in itself? No. But to repeatedly promote the message that all white Trump supporters are evil racists who hate all those who don't look like them? That's just irresponsible and juvenile. The political opinions of the game's creators are rammed down the player's throat and it certainly detracts from the enjoyment that one gets from playing the game.

3. Characters

The characters have no development arc, and the game essentially becomes a walking simulator wherein nothing that you do changes the dynamics of the story or the way that the characters interact with one another. This turns the game more into an interactive cinematic than a real game.

Save your money, do not buy this.

Pretty decent replay value but you don't need to worry about sinking over a thousand hours into the game...wait
