An unique game with a cute robot.

In this game you play as a small Robot called BUD and have to grow a giant plant high enough to reach the mother ship.
On your way you will find a ton of flying island with on them an collection of useful Flora that you can use to help yourself and some useless Fauna that you can throw of the islands into the depths below.
There are also a bunch of collectables that will slightly improve your stats but they aren't as necessary as you would think (besides the jetpack).

Besides that there is not really a lot to say about it, it's just a light snack with an unique mechanic.

Thomas Was Alone is an interesting game.

It's narrative is great and really worth the play time of 3 hours. It really shows the power of both human sympathy and games as an art form that it can make me actually care for a bunch of squares.

The gameplay thou... It's in the beginning enjoyable and the mechanics in the game are pretty inventive but in general the physics engine is kinda bad: Jumping feels unresponsive, you randomly bounce of stuff and a lot of movement feels unpredictable (exactly what you don't want in a platformed). Switching between characters can also be kind of a nightmare, especially when you accidentally move them around.

The Audio design is also a mixed bag. The sound effects are good but the music is really something els. It sounds good but it also sounds like it plays 2 different songs at the same time (could be a bug since I played it in one sitting but I'm pretty sure it wasn't). Some people will love it, some people will hate it, and some people like me will get annoyed at the music.

I would recommend Thomas Was Alone not because it's good or bad, but because it's interesting.

One of those games that is easy to pick up but extremely hard to master.

A great example of this are keys: You can simply pick them up and use them on doors, but it takes some time to realise you can also throw them at a door to unlock them and free up your hand to grab a weapon instead. And another example is the sword: It's easy to understand that if you slashing people with it they will die. But then you will see someone throw a sword at you and you learn that throwing them is just as deadly. Then a little bit later you might notice that you can actually hold the sword down to use as a spear and stab in front of you with it. Ingame there are many more great examples of mechanics that have more dept that you

Duck game is a great game for player who are looking for a game with a little bit of depth without that depth existing of min/maxing stats like in an RPG.

Broforce manages to walk that thin line between Over the top action and strategy. Forcing players to sometimes go full gun blazing into battle while half the map blows up and sometimes search for sneaker routes to get less resistance. I give it a 87%

Interesting game.
The concept is really awesome but the game is really crappy. This is the game equivalent of a B movie.
You love it or you hate it. But you will come back to it if you are with friends.
