It has it's issues, but here's 3 things why I love Spectre Divide:

1. I'm mainly a solo player type of gamer. I love Tac Shooters. But, I don't like playing around my teammates.
Spectre Divide actually solves (or reduces) the problem where there is way too much random factors coming in when playing solo compared to CS and Val by: a) giving you lesser teammates, and b) giving you an extra life. Downtime of action is also kept minimal because of this Duality approach. I love it. More over, to enhance the solo player experience, it does not punish me with more severe SR loss if I lose my ranked games but still heavy carry my teammates. I did loss 4 games in a row due to cheaters (((or just unlucky))) but make my SR back by only winning once. It rewards consistent performance.

2. NO ULTIMATES. No get-out-of-jail-free-card button. Everything is plain and simple utilities and I hope future sponsors kept the game design principle this way. I want more gunplay on my games, not some laserbeam down from the sky kind of thing.

3. Sure, the netcode could be improved. But even Val's netcode is still very rubber-bandy even to this date. It might be a gunplay-related factor instead of a netcode factor, but Spectre gives me that feeling of "If I miss, I miss" kind of vibe. I love the gunplay.

It's not just another rhythm game. TL:DR: You must try.

For context, I've played Pump It Up, another arcade-based, very physically-intensive rhythm game, and managed to reach a somewhat high level for about 10 years. I've also played the mobile version of Starri for quite some time so here's my cents.

Starri is basically 2 games: the first ones is Slash, which is a pretty close clone to Beat Saber. Gameplay is somewhat identical -- we'll get into that in a bit.
The second one is Catch, which is basically osu Standard, or I feel it's even closer to Project DIVA series for comparison.

What makes Starri different is the INPUT METHOD.

You don't need a fancy VR setup, or a 1000 bucks arcade cabinet to play this game. All you need is a simple 10 bucks webcam, a not-too-potato PC, a desk, and a pair of 15 bucks speakers that can emit sounds -- which pretty much everybody has. Heck, even if you don't have a webcam, you can use your phone as a webcam (or play Starri mobile if that's what you prefer!). Although I'm less recommending the Mobile version because when I played it in my IPhone XR, my phone heats up very quickly after 3 tracks.

Overall, this is by far the best, physically-intensive, non-VR rhythm game that you can get on Steam. I'm glad that I can spend less money and time to go to the arcade and grind this thing instead. Thanks Nex!

A nice little package that basically summarises what is going on inside the entire Rhythm Game scene -- from mobile games, to arcade games, Muse Dash has it. The "Just As Planned" DLC is A MUST HAVE since they add way too much content I mentioned before. It has content from DJMAX, Touhou, WACCA, Cytus; you name it, Muse Dash will most likely have it. 10/10.

DO NOT play this game in vanilla.

Go buy all the DLCs. Then go install Viva New Vegas Modpack.

Then enjoy some Ice Cold Nuka-Cola while listening to Frank Sinatra.

My Razer Huntsman Analog somehow don't work in this game, recognise this keyboard as a controller, and bugged the game very hard. The support discord channel does not look accept any feedback so idk how to create a support ticket. I'll put this as a positive when the bug is fixed.

For those who encounter crashes often: update your Nvidia drivers to 526.98. It helps reducing the amount of crashes for me.

I had no idea about this game until Battalion Legacy came out; so I had no idea what to expect from this game, but hey, I ended up enjoying it.

This game is basically Trackmania, but it's COD. I personally don't really play COD and more familiar to movement mechanics inside Quake, CS, or Valorant. Oddly enough, KILLRUN is the first game which introduces me to COD's movement tech which I never really know. Thanks devs ✨

If you expect this game will be beginner friendly, no, it's not. This game does not hold your hand from the very first level. It expects you to understand the movement tech before you actually do a run. There are little to no tutorial levels inside this game so you HAVE TO do your research elsewhere. I ended up watching several tutorial videos tho; although it's not ideal, but I enjoyed the process.

I'll keep come back to this game just to kill time, or, kill run?

You guys absolutely nail the gunplay. I tried the bot mode and I had zero issues lining up my shots and spray transferring people.

Minor issues tho: I'm not sure where you're going with the 'taste' of this game. For example: You can compare CS:GO and Siege has pretty much the same objectives (not really), but completely different gunplay mechanics. I've found this a bit confusing when I found sprint mechanics and leaning mechanics both at a same game (which I've found the leaning part a bit useless if your build is toward a COD-style game),

Another aspect that you would need to think of is how you want to deliver the core gameplay. Is it going to be 4v4/5v5 COD-style sprint-ADS-shoot action shooter? Or is it going to be slower like Valorant/CS? Or is it going even slower like Siege with the prep phase? Or you want it to be an arena shooter like Quake or Splitgate or Halo? The choice is up to yall.

You guys already have the base canvas. Now all you need to do is paint. Overall, great start!

Another minor complaint apart from the gameplay: I think it's a bit confusing if you put motion blur under "Post-processing". I tried to turn on and off every video settings just to turn of the motion blur.

It's a really passable title. I expected the story would be way more elaborate than FC5 but I've found the story is kinda stupid and cringy. I only play for the main story and the gunplay was kinda fun, but kinda short as well.

Btw, play this after you complete FC5. You will get lost (and being more frustrated to the story) if you don't.
