It simply didn't hook me and it's just not fun. I don't think I've played a game in a while where I'm actively annoyed and frustrated the whole time, not just bored. It's not a fun gameplay loop at all if the mystery/story/writing/world-building don't captivate you enough. Too much uninteresting and disjointed exposition-dump storytelling which makes the world and lore feel dull. It had some cool moments visually though.
I'd much preferred games like Firewatch or Subnautica for the mystery exploration/walking sim genres.

very well-designed, fun and satisfying game. surprisingly addictive. more complex than it looks on the surface. 10/10 would 100% achievements again.
