The game is great, the only downside is that it isn't as fun when you're playing it alone, most of the fun in this game comes from playing it with friends, then hearing them scream cause they got jumped by something in the building lol

Also a game made by a roblox dev, proving that you can make money if your ideas are good and well executed.

To me this game is a solid 8/10, the only problems i see is that you cant really play it alone as the difficulty of the game is too high for singleplayer and you need to know what everything does and how to avoid it before jumping in to play alone.

The game is one of the best things i've played since star wars battlefront 2 in 2005, and honestly, despite its many issues with hitreg, server stability and overall buggyness due to the fact it's been built on UE4, This game just envokes the feeling of a true pirate on a grand adventure, fighting off foes left and right. The tall tales are all amazing quality, the game has a very calming gameplay loop (unless you run into fights too often) of looking for treasure, digging it up/fishing it out of the water/defeating a boss to open a vault and either stacking it until your game runs at 2fps or dying to a random level 5 reaper that just appeared on the map. and then (if you survive) sell it for amazing profits of cash, renown XP and Trading company XP. I am trash at PvP and Naval combat, but i love it to bits as well, and i also love the fact they brought in a dedicated PvP system so me and my bloodthirsty friends don't have to look for other ships for hours on end.

Overall i'd give this game a 9.7/10 i took off 0.3 points for the issues with hit registration, server stability and engine stability. But these will be improved with time, the team at Rare is very hard at work to bring us the best they can every season. The recent addition of the Allegiance points and companies for both Protectors of Athena and Servants of the Flame have breathed new life into the game simply because of the cosmetic rewards. which are a phantom/ghostly form for your character, or a skeleton form for your character, you can get both and both are permanently in the game. The game is amazing, i recommend to anyone who loves exploration and the unexpected nature of other players.

One of the best games i've played in a long long time, one of my favourites for sure. The DLC is perfect and there is a ripe modding community creating content almost daily for this game.

Booba

Nostalgia is real, this is a great throwback to the early 2000s as the original games were released in '03 and '04 respectively.
I recieved this game for free at release as i had the two original games in my library.


Animations have been remastered to 60fps, i think most have been remade from scratch completely, higher resolution textures and such, which is a great touch. the sounds have been remastered as well as now they are much clearer than the more compressed voices and sound effects in the originals. the main menu invokes the feeling of nostalgia, while putting something new on the table. I only played the first couple of levels, but so far the game is very good and polished as i have not encountered any glitches or bugs. Plus i am very grateful for all the original localizations coming back into this game, Overall i love it and i'll give this a 10/10 (i might update my review as i progress through the game.)

I cannot get past the few first enemies because no matter if i dodge away or not i always trade a hit or two in return which is annoying as hell. so far i don't reccomend it.

Worst game i've ever played, you have to keep going at 110% the whole time or you die instantly to a crossmap shot from a sawed-off because the dude saw one singular pixel of your head from 5000 meters away.
I will not recommend anyone play this if you value your sanity or nerves, just. don't. touch. this. game. stay away from it.
i wouldn't recommend it even if Valve themselves would've paid me. -1/10
