TL;DR:
Pros: Very Unique, Interesting Setting, Some Good Scares
Cons: Several Bland/Boring areas and Boss FIghts, Horror is extremely lacking, environments seem very unfinished.

I found this game via the controversy surrounding Poppy's Playtime, and saw the game meandered around as Poppy's Playtime was plagiarizing it, while I definitely believe this not to be the case, I am going to ignore this controversy in the review and look at it from a lone game standpoint.

While this game is okay at its best moments, it is a snoozefest at others, there were definitely some spooky moments in the first bit of the Studio, but a lot was left very bland and felt very nothing, it felt like the game was just edging a jumpscare to happen for a cheap little scare. It all seemed to go downhill after the first big scare/reveal, entering the demon realm.

The areas all feel padded out and long, the first boss fight was extremely boring and not at all spooky or terrifying, the second boss was definitely better, but felt way too long for how bland the environment seemed, the third boss in the vents was just insanely silly.

Overall, the game definitely has some potential, but the fact that I see people parading it as the "best indie horror" they picked up means they obviously haven't played any horror apart from Venge, and the fact that what seems to me like the developer trying to stir up pity on Twitter by saying Poppy's Playtime copied them is a bit pathetic, but that's besides the case.

Overall. for the price, it's worth it, but it's 2 Dollars so what is that really saying.
