In Counter-Strike 2's current state, I think the game has been a disappointment compared to its predecessor. Does this mean you shouldn't play it? No. I love Counter-Strike and I think you can enjoy something while knowing where the issues lie. I played on and off during the CS:GO era and have begun to start playing a lot more recently.

Compared towards CS:GO however, it feels like they've removed a lot of stuff that contributed to the game's soul. I think the removal(?) of "background elements" such as factions make the game feel a lot less alive. I thought it was pretty enjoyable to hear all the characters & voice lines. Achievements were also very fun to collect and it disappoints me that they removed them.

There's been some other things that have been seemingly left out (largely maps and some other smaller stuff) that I'm genuinely too lazy to write about.

You could argue that these little things aren't crucial to gameplay and while that is "true" - again, I believe they contributed towards the game feeling more alive.

I really hope that someday they push out a major update that at least re-implements most of the issues I've discussed about.

Blender is a great tool for animating and modeling, it is simply the best.
