Review on May 5: Account linking bs bricked the game for many.

Review on Feb 17:
Current state of the game is to launch it and wait 5-10 minutes for the black screen to go away.
Sit on the screen that says "Servers at capacity. Please try again later" for 10ish minutes, while it tries to reconnect every 30 seconds
Once you're "connected", there's another screen that says "Login limit reached. Please wait to be let in." This one has a 60 second retry timer.
After waiting another 10 minutes, give up and kill the game from the taskbar, because they've given you no other way out of those screens.

No spoilers in this review. This game is amazing. Get it, especially if it goes on sale.
I beat the game in around 25 hours.
Maybe the best deck builder / card battler I've played. Most importantly: The story is great. Deck builders, while fun, never really focus on story. The characters' banter, the backstory and how the story is revealed, all affects the game during subsequent runs, and are all the best aspects of Cobalt Core.
It's mostly very well balanced and not that hard, even on the hardest difficulty. If you plan out your turns, you will usually win and will never feel cheated by RNG. Mistakes are punished accordingly.
There is only one very difficult fight. As of writing, the how-to videos for this fight include nerfed cards, so they are no help (this will obviously change depending on the age of the game). I was still able to beat this fight with the right ship and a bit of RNG along the run to get the needed cards and artifacts.
Each ship and character choices changes turn actions enough to keep the game fun until the end.
Definitely pick up this game. Can't wait for a sequel or DLC

Typical run takes longer than most other rogue lite/like deckbuilders, but the progression, maps and nodes make it all worth it
There's more and better story elements than usual as a result of the longer runs
The RPG elements are fun. Unlocking and leveling new characters keeps the game fresh for a long time
