Early Access Review
Onward VR was once considered the pinnacle of VR Milsim. Not just because it might have been the ONLY one on the market, but the high fidelity audio of supersonic rounds screaming in your ear and over all tense, almost terrifying atmosphere made it an addictive experience. Those lucky enough to have played it at it peak would have remembered going in slowly with a squad of actual veterans, giving good comms and taking in the, meh, decent graphics (Cmon VR is still in it's infancy)

Onward now is not the same. The devs had successfully gutted it long ago in order to release it on the time they agreed on with oculus. It's NOT because oculus kids can play. That is a big reason why many hate the game, but it's because the PC port was MASSIVELY downgraded from what is once was, to match mobile hardware. Graphics, AI, Sound, all of it was watered down to a mobile version with no option to enjoy the new "content" with fellow PC players.

I'm not saying don't play this game, if you enjoy VR shooters it's not bad, but seriously devs. ♥♥♥♥ you so much for ruining a great game for many of your original fan base, AND making it harder for VR MilSim to really take off.

This game is what you want if you enjoyed S.T.A.L.K.E.R, or just enjoy anything post apocalyptic Russian. It's a hardcore, Creepy, Survival experience. After playing for some time between different VR games, I see hang ups in some games that solve things in another, and this one lacks things in "easy" aspects I feel.

Pros:
- Weapons handling is nice. Rifles can be held by either hand independently and bolted. Attachments can be switched out. Knives can be flipped into a stabbing motion if you want. Recoil stabilizes really well with both hands placed. Basically, up to modern standard for VR Shooters as far as physics.
- Atmosphere Is Immersive. You get a feeling of running into an anomaly every corner, and you start to think more about holding your weapon all the time. It's tense and dreary, But how things are in the Radius
- VR body works very well. Elbows don't break when aiming, things feel natural when moving and grabbing things from my holsters.

Cons:
- World is empty. Maybe it's a matter of just building more things into the game which allows more items to exist, hence more loot, but as of now the world feels VERY barren of good loot. You mostly find snacks and energy drinks, with occasional individual rounds. I'm not proposing start spawning guns everywhere, but I hope in the future there are more Buildings with more loot variation.
- Enemies feels drastically in terms of difficulty. Easier enemies are VERY easy to kill (Like fragments. One shot knife hit, not a lot of them.) A few feel balanced enough to where it's engaging, challenging, and rewarding to win.
- One way road to the Main Map. As of now, there is only one way into the zone area, starting from the bottom. I feel there should be different methods of starting off in different parts of the map instead of just having the one spawn point.

This game is worth the money. The Dev is a good, reliable, communicative one that cares for this and continues to refine. If you like the way it looks, Try it, and give some feedback on how it could be better if need be.
