Astroneer is a wonderful, peaceful game that is great for unwinding or when you want to scratch the "wonderous exploration" itch. It is NOT like other survival-craft games in that there is no micromanagement of self aside from your O2 content. You're encouraged to explore and base build in these gorgeous set pieces. Overall this game has its own charm and unique art style with lots of room for improvement and content. I cannot recomend this game for the full price of $30 and should be bought on sale, since the price tag doesn't justify the content you'll be getting. But for the content that is there, this is a great game, 7/10. Pros and cons Ive noted below.

CONS:
-It has plenty of content, though it does snowball quickly with colonization and base setup being easy early-mid game when you have most of the resource gathering/processing machines.
-Unfortunately, there is very little endgame content which will hopefully be further expanded upon with cool space stuff like asteroid belts, random events (ie comets. lost satelites floating by), super space structures (dyson spheres, space stations ruins).
-It is also a little unstable with nexuses killing you when you teleport sometimes, and dismounting vehicles sometimes will place you in the ground (not deep enough to kill you but its an inconvenience).
-Bring back storms... there needs to be more environmental challenge/ floral hostility increase as you go up the tiers of planets, the challenge doesnt scale well and you can go to the hardest planet from the starter planet and handle setup quickly with little in your way.
-This game is a little content dry , however, this game is in the early 1.0 release and hopefully more is released.

PROS:
+Music and atmosphere is ON POINT! Though the music is the same on all planets from what I've noticed, every planet has its own color palletes and style; every planet/moon environment is memorable and unique (the music should be changed to fit the planet environment and atmosphere.)
+Fun co-op/multiplayer; with friends, this game is a blast and the creativity and wonder increases.
+There is a lot of early and mid game exploration, crafting, and automation that can be done.
+The gameplay loop and sense of progression is solid where by late mid-game you feel like you can terraform every planet and make it in your own image.
+There is a creative mode.
+Cosmetic suits and color palettes are unlocked with progression with the base stuff given well designed (there is a microtransactions store but you can ignore it as that adds other things that can be customized and aren't vital to game progression. in other words, NO IN-YOUR-FACE MICROTRANSACTIONS.)

9 years of development. New updates with semi stale content. A literal skeleton crew of developers. Still worth everybit with the community behind it.
