I wish there was a neutral review for steam.
Everything about this game is great.
Its a multiplayer game unfortunately is dead as heck in SEA region.
Every game I search for is 300+ ping and I warn you this game is very very very much ping dependent.
I can play single player only for so long, most of the playtime I have is from that solo runs. But at some point you have more fun in multiplayer, unfortunately thats not a option for me.

I loved the game initially. Played it before it got on steam.
Wanted to play overwatch but couldn't afford it. Paladins was my go to then.
It turned out good with Loadout initially but then there was a point it started going downhill.
Hi-rez started to experiment and tried as much to balance from that point but no matter what they try to fix it wasn't worth it because they would damage the game in another way. But it really didn't matter anymore with introduction of lazy champion designs more and more. Kinessa and Viktor: ok they were your basic fps classes, but this game isn't TF2! with gun, it was about magic and brawling focused. Clones designs like tyra, strix, lian were being made since they ran out of ideas. Dont mention Vivian she's born because whoever designed her probably the most laziest person in the world. Characters in paladins needed to work together to play effectively as a group it doesn't matter if every role was picked there were combinations that had too picked for team synergy and that's where champions like Vivian come in. Doesn't matter what your team or the enemy team is for her to play effectively. All she has to do is sit back and hold lmb and rmb. Flanks? Hahah she can detect them coming with her drones. And get the jump on them. Two flanks?! No problem has a shield. Her ult is here have some more dps since we think your dps is too low for being a DMG champion. Hitbox? Lol what hitbox. My ult buddy got destroyed but no problem I'm a deploy a 2nd time. But how? Because I can charge my ult even with my ult already active. Mean while old favorites like drogoz get nerfed because of console scrubs and Vivian trash mains that complained about hard it was to hit drogoz on wyrm jets. His hitbox is big, his rockets are projectiles that require leading since their aoe is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crossbow shoots faster than a rocket.
A Rpg projectile moves at a speed of around 300 metres per second so since drogoz uses a handheld it should atleast shoot at half the speed, a hunting crossbow shoots a a arrow at a speed of 500 feets per second converted to 150metres per second. But in this game however it doesn't matter the rockets move like ♥♥♥♥ all and the fire rate is slower than kindergarten kid spelling the alphabet. You can't play him unless you have a healer and another champion to cover your ass. You have to have actual skill to use him and when you do you get punished and get your ass handed over to most of the champions in the roster. Drogoz isn't what he used to be , he used to be a flying nightmare but not he's just a fly waiting to get swatted out of the sky. Only way to play with him is now cowering behind covers and making safe plays. Can't go crazy like before especially how most of my matches are giving me the best EVAH! recently.
If anything I wouldn't be suprised if they decide to stack her ultimate with the direction hirez is going.
Game breaking bugs, random DC's, bad servers, I usually don;t write reviews but I writing this because at this point of time I couldn't get to play a game because as soon as the match started I was getting dced to login screen only to get stuck in a loop of relogin reloading and dced. I live in SEA and I'm getting 120-150 ping as opposed to 40-60 in the earlier days because HI-rez turned out to be just another greedy low rez company that doesn't polish the game rather just vomit as many champions as it can with skins and stuff.
Characters that need skill to play are getting nerfed more while the ones that need actual nerf aren't getting them.
The new champion Vora is as boring and uninspiring as well, grover+zhin= vora.
And now they are going to introduce another character soon which looks promising but unbalanced asf.
They are straying too far from the original soul of the game.
This might be the last time I replay the game.

Update: Ultimate Edition costs less on the sale than the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. So if you've already owned the base game and decided to buy the upgrade on Halloween sale you are actually getting ripped off because apparently the upgrade costs more than getting the ultimate edition game. And you can't buy the ultimate edition for yourself and can only gift.

USED TO BE GOOD.

Yes it used to be good, fun times with fun guns and enemies.
But then it happened Loot crate system, still no problem since it was only cosmetics and I absolutely had no problem with it.
Few weapon reworks needed, class system perks need a rework, enemy spawns needed rework, maps with glitchy spots needed rework, bugs etc.
But what do they do? Release Weapons 10$ each.......and they even promised in the beginning with no such paid dlcs or so.
Not even weapon bundles like KF1 did but a single weapon for 10$ that can only be bought from ingame menu and isn't listed on steam so that they can atleast go on sales or get priced according to steam purchasing power parity policy.
Thats the same as the price of the base game for me.
They do not address on tweaking the game instead just release these stuff like a pay2win mobile games with microtransactions except this game has macrotransactions.
On top of that their forums are populated with moderators that will ban anyone or even in some cases threatening go as far as banning from the game itself just for criticising on the game in forums, be it maybe constructive or straight up dissing.
Also them taking the direction of releasing epic exclusive titles it doesn't surprise me that TWI has just become another greedy EA. Only buy this game if you are from EU or US cos most of the Asian and Aussie servers are deadsies.
I would suggest checking out another game called "Deep Rock Galactic" if you have that co-op fever otherwise just stick to KF1 fellas.

I always fantasized about playing this game one day seeing all the awesome montages of crazy stuff going on in the multiplayer on youtube. Unfortunately this game is dead in Asia but thats not the real problem here, because there are no Asian servers I cannot play on any other server of other regions because I keep getting kicked because I have a high ping of 150. Also I learned this out the harsh way that whats remaining if the servers are not the official ones but the rented ones that are run by egomanaical admins and filled with full of toxic people who are straight out racists. The minute I join a sever in Germany with a ping around 130-140 I get called racist names by some guy name peanut to ♥♥♥♥ off to another server in my region who when I say have none tells me not to play at all then and proceeds to call me more names while the sever gives me the message of sorry you are being kicked for high ping and maybe try to get better internet buddy? Yea I hope I get my refund back.

The screenshots are a lie and this game is not worth it even on a sale.
Its been abandoned, its buggy, progress gets reset, items dissappear, random enemy spawns out of nowhere.
Walking simulator.
Just don't buy it or dont fall for the positive reviews.
Buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R way more better than any of this ♥♥♥♥.

Zombies aren't the only dead things, the game itself is DEAD. Single digit player count.
As much as I like this game, it's frustrating most of the times.
Let's start with how the game works.
Your usual left for dead like game with similar game modes.
It differs in the aspect of survivability, scarcity of gear which you find across the map and is slow paced. Zombies don't go down easily no matter the difficulty. Headshot is the only one shot to kill. No different zombies other than a riot zombie that's harder to kill.
Extra game modes like Extraction of A.I.
PROS:
Nice concept of game mechanics.
Weapons have nice feel to them.
Interesting game modes.
CONS:
Oh boy.... First and foremost
The ping makes it horrible to get those headshots/kills
When more zombies spawn for some reason the ping gets doubled and if all trippled. Zombies begin to teleport.
To add to that hitboxes are crap and the gun gameplay while audiovisually looks better has clunky and rough mechanics. It isn't smooth.
Some of the maps need rework.
And most annoying of all the game crashes randomly which is kills the game for me.
Also gets boring since its content is not that big enough.
Recommend spending your money somewhere unless
1.The game goes dead cheap on sale like 70-80%
2. You have money to shred and want achievements.

Old game so has tons of hackers
Dead in SEA region so only active in EU,RU,US and few others. For me I only have 200ms servers which suck.
No point in trying this game if your're a beginner unless you have a friend to show you the ropes since the servers are seemingly plagued with people who breath,eat,sleep and live on this game their entire life.
Not at all Noob friendly unless you have experience with slow paced,gritty war games where the movement is sluggish and choppy asf.
Can't beleive that a AAA game can run better than this game whose visuals aren't justified at which the fps I get.
