Early Access Review
Great tactical shooter packed with loads of strategic potential, a planning system, hundreds of randomized map layouts, and a first-come-first-serve weapon economy.

Over a decade after Unity's launch, the story line, captivating setting, and parkour mechanics are still the best in the franchise. Animations are fluid and in my opinion, unmatched. The combat system has a satisfying weighted feel to it, and character progression is paced well. I did have to install a mod called ACUFixes which patches some of the many bugs that linger in the latest build of the game, however I was pleasantly surprised to experience forward-thinking queue mechanics for co-op matchmaking. To those wondering, it is still alive and well. All of this made for a very enjoyable play through and overall experience, even in 2025!

Receiver 2 takes the crown for the most hardcore FPS experience I have ever played. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who has played the first entry and to those looking for a real challenge. The lore is intriguing enough and the commentary teaches real world firearm handling techniques which I think is pretty cool. With the addition of the compound and many many notes/tapes/secrets that all add to the mysterious lore of the Receiver universe, this sequel feels complete. By far the most difficult singleplayer shooter that I've 100%'ed (looking at you, Halo 2), as it takes a patient and methodical player to do so.

This game takes couch co-op to the next level and was such a blast to play through. Great level design, game mechanics, story & character development all around. It being an EA title, I had my doubts with their history of micro-transactions & bundled DRM software. To my surprise there were no micro-transactions, and while EA's proprietary launcher was a bummer (albeit expected), once the game is running it isn't intrusive. Overall I'd say it's worth the price, and even better when on sale; As a bonus, you only need to buy it once since friends can join in for free.

This is a great puzzle game, I really enjoyed the mechanics & level design. It runs smooth and I didn't encounter a single bug. It did feel pretty short though, my blind playthrough lasted <5hrs. If the devs consider adding Steam Workshop support I think it'd bring a lot of replayability to the game. It's a solid indie title regardless, but I'd try to pick it up during a sale.

Greatest remake of all time, hands down. Zen was beautifully remastered, even if it felt a bit lengthy
