EA has done very little work on this collection. As far as I can tell they up-rezzed the assets a bit and added controller support to the pc versions of this game. They did not bother bug fixing the games, as far as I can tell.
I played through ME2 and 3 about a year ago, and 5 hours into ME2 it is the same buggy mess the original pc release was, with the same exact bugs the original release had. I hadn't played ME1 for years now, but given the lack of care in the other products in this package and the number of bugs I encountered in my playthrough of that game, I don't believe that conversion is any less slapdash than the other two games.
With 3 bad games in a row, I suppose this indicates the quality we can expect from Bioware moving forward, another dead log on EA's bonfire.

I backed this a million years ago because I like cRPGs, and I particularly like TALKY cRPGs. In that sense, this is a well realized game, with a fairly good story and a system that seems geared towards providing non-combat solutions to most encounters. I've dumped all of my leveling up into being a good talker/thinker, and dug some of the non stabbing related solutions that afforded.
That being said, holy hell this game is a buggy mess. If you ARE unfortunate enough to get into combat, there seems to be about a 1 in 5 chance every combat round for the game to hard lock, I've come out of combat encounters with my party completely frozen in place, and there is an incredibly annoying humming sound anytime you have a buff (which you will have permanently after a couple of hours of playing the game. that last isn't a bug per se, but I feel it speaks to a lack of outside eyes (ears?) on this product.
What's here is pretty good, but I'd recommend you give these guys a couple months to finish their game up, and play it when it's more stable.

Early Access Review
This game is rad. The early state shows in the number of research options and build options, but for the price I super enjoyed my time with this game. It's like a good version of No Man's Sky.
Very much looking forward to seeing how this game develops, and I very seldom invest in early access games.
