This game is a delight. It has a really effective game loop, constantly expands and extends what you're doing, and offers a lot of variety. There are a ton of mini-games as part of gameplay, and surprisingly the devs were willing to make some of them as one-offs so they don't feel over-used. On one hand the story felt a little long--but after I completed it, I also felt like there was plenty more non-story content I wanted to keep playing! Worth your time to check out.

This is a brilliant implementation of dynamic game story telling. It generates touching stories that develop over the course of a campaign, and I genuinely felt for their journeys. The plot lines are well written, but it's the many individual events you will see that really make this game pop.

The fighting system is solid; the magic system is fresh enough to be interesting, but combat isn't so complex that it would become confusing.

Well worth your time to check this one out.

Though a short game, each level introduces new mechanics and combat puzzles, so it stays interesting the full way through. The soundtrack is terrific, and the graphics work well to convey a cyberpunk aesthetic. Difficulty can be a little uneven in spots, and I'd prefer there to be more checkpoints. Worth your time and money.

This is a great take on Solitaire. The teams are a fun way to diversify this from other versions of the classic game. Add in some fun FMV, slick visuals, and excellent music, and you have a great way to chill out playing a card game. It probably won't change your mind if you hate card games, but if you have any interest, it's worth checking out.

This is a fantastic update to an already masterful strategy game. It will be familiar to those who played the original, with added layers/features that make this much more than a set of new maps with a different graphics engine. If you enjoyed the original Unity of Command, have an interest in strategy games (even just board games), this is well worth your time to play.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I didn't think it was for me, but a friend was really into it, so I gave it a shot, and loved it. I consider it one of my top games for the year. It is beautiful, provides plenty to explore, and as you expand to new areas it constantly introduces new visuals, materials, and goals to keep it interesting. Well worth your time.

I loved this game. Powerful vignettes wrapped by a frame story connecting them together, this game delivers a moving experience. It won't waste your time with filler, but if you are looking for more, there are plenty of little details to find about the house that you will notice once you've seen some of the short stories. They aren't necessary, but are lovely touches that make the world of game feel lived in and vibrant. This game is worth your time.

This game was a lovely surprise when it launched, without any advance fanfare. It's a novella of a game, succinct and it respects your time. YOu can play through the entire game in an evening, or in 15-20 minute segments like I did. There are a few solid puzzles to work out, but has a plot-releveant system to assist if you get stuck or if puzzles aren't your thing. If you like a good tale, the game is worth your time. the price is low enough (even without a sale) that it is easy to jump on it without worrying you're giving up something else. I'm glad I gave it a try!

Firewatch is a wonderful, concentrated game. A concise, powerful story in a beautifully depicted landscape, and it is well worth your time to play. There is exploration, mystery, relationships, and I loved every minute of it.

As I've grown older, my time is at a premium more than my ability to pay for games. I value a game that respects my time more than a game which is filled with busy-work for the sake of length. Firewatch is a short game at ~4 hours. Every moment of it respects the player's time. The game could have been made longer, but it didn't need to be longer, and it is better for that decision.
