Say you've got a system that costs about $940 (excluding the Graphics card) and you have at least two choices for the video card.

- Choice #1 costs $99 and would provide 37fps in most modern games.
- Choice #2 costs $217 and would provide 64fps in most modern games.

Even though choice #1 provides $2.67 per frame per second compared to choice 2's $3.39 per frame per second choice #2 only increases the TCO by +$118.

So choice #2 is only +11.36% more expensive (TCO) and yet provides +73% more performance per dollar (TCO).
