I think this game is probably best played by the sort of people who meticulously & lovingly craft their ideal Pokemon team by breeding multiple generations of them & keeping track of all of the stats & traits & numbers & figures &etc. instead of just, y'know, blazing ahead with the first five things they catch.

If you, like me, are not one of those meticulous craftspersons (you will know this because you somehow always had a Pidgeotto on your team to fight the Elite Four, for no reason other than that you caught it near Pallet Town & just sort of hung onto it), you'll probably love fumbling your way through this game into different, wildly amusing death scenarios. It's a lot of fun! But once you get serious about making Elodie live to become queen-- or, at least, to survive the forest adventure, just that one time-- do yourself a favor by finding the wiki & taking a ton of notes.

Beating this game requires a certain level of precision on the part of the player not usually enjoyed by those who like running around and bashing things with a sword. If you are a thing basher, please, learn from my mistakes. Save yourself inevitable hours of headache & frustration by taking notes.
