If you are a Metro fan, you are in a treat, especially considering the game uncovers the backstory of one of the most interesting characters of the series, KHAN!

They really nailed the dark elements of the Metro, this looks and feels like a Metro game. I thought the voice acting was superb, on par with the previous games. Lighting is also great, monster textures can be a bit mid if you are looking at them long enough to let them kill you, but overall I'm confused about the reviews saying this game looked terrible as I thought it looked great!

Though you can go in guns blazing, just like with previous Metro games ammo is scarce (especially on higher difficulty levels) so stealth is recommended, my preference was with the crossbow as the bolts can be retrieved, even if you miss (provided you can find where you shot).

Took me about 11 hours to beat without finding all the postcards, so compared to other VR "experiences" (2-3 hours long) this one is pretty beefy.

Loved it, as someone who isn't really into multiplayer shooters but loves single player shooters and post apocalyptic themes (especially the Metro series!) this is in my top 10 for sure.

Negatives:
-You can only really switch between pistol and a long gun during a firefight, switching longer weapons requires you to take off your backpack and "pick it" which is inconvenient
-Occasionally would pull out healing syringe instead of ammo when trying to panic reload
-I had to up the in game brightness (probably headset dependent) because in some stealth areas I literally couldn't see, because you need to keep your headlight off or enemies will see it.

I saw the mixed reviews and it confused me so I wanted to add a positive one as I've been using this game pretty much daily in the background during work.

I'll admit that I do not use most of the productivity parts of the app. Instead, I use it as a work break "pause" to go check on my animal, buy stuff from the store/decorate etc *instead* of doing some scrolling on social media. It gives me enough to feel like I have accomplished something, without feeling trapped into doom scrolling. I leave my pet up on 'desktop mode' on my second monitor so its not that distracting. I usually have a Youtube window with lofi or something on there too anyway.

I enjoy all the decorations you can buy for the island (especially the PLANTS that got newly added) but of course I'll always ask for more. :) I do not feel that the pricing is unfair, just gives me more motivation for leaving the game up idle in the background, as its supposed to be (vs a focused game).

Anyway hope this helps bump up the reviews a bit, and maybe makes the devs a little happier.

Early Access Review
I loved the original story and endings in The Forest but boy, this game had a rushed story and maybe should have been delayed further.

Some of the new crafting elements are interesting, you can either make blueprints like in the original or you can utilize the free crafting system which is fun. The graphics are also pretty, seasons are a thing. Enemies (cannibals especially) have interesting behaviors and the AI is pretty good. I can even forgive some of the early access bugs like weapons getting stuck to each other or eating your canteen if it gets equipped to a hotkey.

However the story is just...so rushed and confusing. You get 2-3 cutscenes during the entire game, maybe one line of dialog, no reason for your character to know any of the existing characters but your character just kinda goes along with things anyway? Even reading the emails and viewing some cameras you get a teaser of what is going on...but then BAM you get hit with an ending with no end boss, no challenge (you can literally just run to the end past a few mutants). You're left wondering what happened, who are these people, what happened to these people, why should I care.

Hopefully they'll be working on more story fixes/adds when getting out of early access so that things actually make more sense. Very disappointed.

It's not "just a tech demo" as some reviews state - it's Kayaking. If you want guns or something more "exciting" go to Phantom: Covert Ops instead.

Kayak VR: Mirage to me is more of a relaxing, exploratory experience. I love each map and there are little paths you can find and unlockables if you look close enough. Each location also has a day/night version with unique random encounters that can happen. I use

Kayak VR as an active meditation session where I can just zone out from the world but also do something a little physically active. The sounds, music, and of course the visuals all really add to this title. You can tell a lot of work was put into this and it really shows. I look forward to even more locations!

I can appreciate it for being one of the original VR dance/rhythm games, but it does not hold up to today when you have much better options.

You have two options in the game, the original story mode, which is basically where dragons throw colored balls at you. The dragons are really pretty, but it all seems a bit random and out of place and I never really felt like I was "dancing".

The second option is a free mode, in which they don't seem to have any songs of their own (the UI is also a confusing mess to navigate). It's more all player made maps, which means you might find something you like if you dig far enough but there seems to be no ranking, so you will have no idea if the map you pick is actually *good* or not.

Even with some of the expert and expert + maps I played, I didn't really get that dance feeling like you do in something like Audio Trip, Beat Saber, or Synth Riders, unfortunately.

I appreciate the fact that apparently it supports LIV mixed reality and foot trackers, but unfortunately I could get neither working with this particular game. The avatar in LIV would work, but then after a few seconds of being in the game it would be obscured by black screen. Holodance also could not pick up my foot trackers despite giving them roles in the Steam VR settings.

Another game you DEFINITELY want to add to your rotation of rhythm/fitness based VR games.

I have such a great time with this game, it's nice to have a game that features something other than EDM/Pop music - not that I have anything against that, but I need a little variation in my life.

I have certain favorite songs of course, in those playing on the max difficulty I REALLY get into it and feel totally badass.

Multiplayer is also unique in that you can actually race ships with other people, and not just one other person!

Quick 3:30 review of the game here (along with an example of what it looks like using LIV/mixed reality): https://youtu.be/JX-5ffi76kk

GET IT! You won't regret it. Looking forward to even more environments and songs from the devs in the future!

LIV is a must have for any VR content creator! While its difficult to emulate to people not in the headset what it looks like, LIV puts a unique spin on it to show off what you look like inside the game environment. The software itself is easy to use, I personally use it more for webcam mixed reality than avatars because I want my audience to be able to build a more personal connection with me.

LIV gives you a lot of options to be able to tweak your settings (thank goodness) as chroma keying can be notoriously difficult, but you have crop, chroma key, FOV features and more all in one place. It's very easy to figure out.

LIV is a company that does really want to see more growth in VR and supports their content creators. And I must say there support is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to answering questions in the Discord. Everyone is super friendly and approachable!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stole my recipe and put it on his menu, yet decided not to become my "business partner". Screw you Colonel Sanders! We could have made amazing chicken together!

In all 'serious'ness, funny, short game, one play through (while streaming) took about 3 hours. Made me hungry for KFC while playing, then never wanted to eat KFC again because the Colonel broke my heart. (But maybe you'll have a better ending).

Worth playing? Yes, its free, what are you waiting for?!?

There is such a lack of Christmas themed games out there, and I absolutely love weird humor, so I had my eye on this game before it came out.

I was not disappointed. Game is safe to livestream (to 18+), but full of dirty humor and amazing Christmas sexy puns.

One play through took about an hour and a half, but I was streaming and reading everything out loud, so it would probably take the average person about an hour.

Buy it because Christmas, and dirty humor!

Made my husband cry, 10/10.

Good for coop maybe once, not very replayable but worth playing coop with friends or with loved ones who hate horror games.
