The hours I've spent playing the game were because I truly wanted to enjoy it, and only time will tell if it’s a game for me or not.

Tutorial and learning curve

To start, it has been exhausting to understand the game's mechanics on my own, mainly because the game lacks a proper tutorial. The current tutorial feels like: “You’re the grandson of the farm owner, now take over. I'll teach you how to use two or three machines once, and that's it for the following months and years.” What? So, I go to the neighbors, but they offer no useful information. I check the help section, but it’s very vague and doesn’t cover what I actually need to know. This forces me to search for videos on YouTube, the game’s Wiki, or even the information on your own website—which, even if it were detailed, is tedious to just read and read.

This breaks immersion because the game doesn’t guide you through learning its mechanics in an active way (with engaging activities). A simulation game as deep and detailed as this should strive to explain each fundamental aspect clearly, ensuring that players are equipped to manage their farms effectively, the main goal is not buying vehicles, the game its called farming simulator not farming vehicles simulator. By thoroughly covering the basics, the game wouldn’t diminish the joy of discovery—it would instead allow players to focus on uncovering the many surprises and intricate strategies that make farming games rewarding.

Ideally, the tutorial should last an entire in-game year, covering all aspects like animals, plants, vehicles, and their requirements. It could progressively introduce players to equipment and features as part of the tutorial experience. Even if the game explained and guided players through every activity, I’m certain it wouldn’t take away any sense of surprise or fun. Players wouldn’t lose anything by having a comprehensive introduction—most people who enjoy this type of game are drawn to repetitive activities they can master, leaning more towards experiencing the immersion of living the farming life, players benefit from activities that evolve over time, such as your well-executed harvest seasons and market price changes. I’m confident the team could expand on these concepts with other creative ideas to keep the experience engaging and dynamic.

Store and Compatibility Issues

The store would benefit greatly from adding hashtags or a search engine that allows players to find items based on their needs, like animals, plants, etc. Without this, you risk wasting money on things you think you need, only to find out you require additional items or that the purchased equipment isn’t compatible with your existing setup. And then, you’re out of money.

Sure, renting equipment is an option. However, my experience was frustrating when I rented a harvesting machine that was too low to the ground. The suggested pairing with an AI-driven vehicle caused both machines to collide because their output/input ports didn’t align.

Additionally, the mechanics of coordinating two vehicles simultaneously are tedious. Trying to get them to move in sync is frustrating and breaks immersion.
Map and Immersion Issues

The maps feel too simple and lifeless, with very few inhabitants. This makes me question: who are the people I’m selling my products and work to? Without a sense of community or visible buyers, the world feels disconnected, and it’s harder to immerse myself in the idea of running a thriving farm within a living ecosystem.

Already, players don’t physically enter the stores, and I understand the simplicity of the shop mechanics (for which I’ve already offered my suggestions). However, without seeing people coming and going, entering shops, houses, places and living their daily lives, working in their farms or businesses, the game world sometimes feels more like a mod for a larger game rather than a fully fleshed-out simulation, im not saying i want to talk to them but feel the same way when i go out for a walk and see people living.

On the other hand, i avoided tree-cutting tasks entirely because the crane mechanics are awful. Moving logs with the crane is more stressful than those claw machine games at arcades. The keyboard controls are clunky, and using the mouse is even worse—I almost hurt my shoulder trying to move logs one by one. Automating this task, like pressing “H” for crop tasks, would be a great improvement.

I understand that programming something like this might not be easy, but I’m sure there are ways to automate the activity or make it more enjoyable with simple clicks here and there. I would love to experience everything the game has to offer without avoiding certain activities, and I’m confident there are others who feel the same because I’ve read similar complaints in forums.

Rewards and Stress

The payout for tasks feels very low compared to the effort required. I understand the argument that farming is hard work, and maybe the game aims to reflect the struggles of real-life farming. However, I recall reading somewhere that the goal was to portrait its romantic and relaxing feel. Instead, I feel stressed out by many of the mechanics I’ve mentioned.

In simple words:

Active Tutorials: Add a fully active tutorial lasting an in-game year, covering all aspects of farming (animals, crops, vehicles, etc.).
Simplify Tasks: Make activities more engaging and less tedious through automation or simplification.
Add Life to the Maps: Include more inhabitants and give the towns and farms a sense of vibrancy.
Enhance the Store: Improve the search functionality by including filters, suggestions, and even indicators of what items the player already owns or lacks.
Use Community Data: For rented equipment, use community data to suggest commonly paired items instead of the current system.

Aspects I Loved

On a positive note, I love the mechanics related to business and complex production chains! The greenhouse feature is excellent, I love it, and it could be expanded further in hydroponics, aquaponics etc. Additionally, it might be interesting to explore other systems such as vertical farming, agroforestry, or permaculture-inspired designs for diversification and sustainability, worm bins. The bee and pollination mechanics are also fantastic and a great addition for this natural and organic connection. I’d love to see more diversity in crops and animals, as well as small-scale, family-run farm business with unique features like flower farming, orchids, cacti, succulents. Expanding these options would be amazing.

The weather and rain effects are great, and I like that players can choose whether to perform tasks like liming or pressing the soil. Adding an option for irrigation systems would enhance the immersion.

From my top 3 (if not number 1) is Half-Life 2. I had never played the first one, thinking it would be an epic moment and an unforgettable game. However, that was not the case. The game has aged very poorly, not because it has bad graphics or is often tedious with the platforming sections within the game, and not because the game itself is bad, but I am surprised that, despite being considered many times as the best PC game in history, they haven't fixed it over time. The game is full of bugs! It was a decisive moment for me when, after spending 3 hours in the same place and not being able to advance, I went online and found out that the game had a bug that could only be fixed by either restarting the game from an earlier save or using a cheat. That moment made me very sad because I had no choice but to cheat (without really cheating since I couldn't continue otherwise), and even then I decided to use the cheat (since reverting to an earlier save didn't help), I deactivated the cheat and continued, only to find that there were more unresolved bugs, doors that you had to click on a certain spot because the lever didn't work, and many other nonsensical things that only frustrated me more and more every second. I continued despite this and other issues, like dying from falling from a certain height even though to progress you had to let yourself fall (and the character gets damaged!). It was very frustrating to finish this game; I did it out of respect for Half-Life 2 but inside I feel like I wasted my time. My only consolation is knowing that I didn't spend a cent on the game since I took advantage of a moment when Steam was giving it away for free. But seriously, if you are thinking of buying it, don't do it; you're not missing anything, start from Half-Life 2, that is a gem and will continue to be my favorite game, and Half-Life 1 one of the worst I've ever played. What a pity.

Among the Sleep es un juego de aventura y terror en primera persona en el que tienes la oportunidad de ver el mundo a traves de los ojos de un niño de dos años(con todo y mameluco).
Después de ser despertado abruptamente por algo desconocido durante una noche y tras encontrar a tu osito teddy desaparecido, los dos tendrán que averiguar que es lo que está pasando.

El juego está muy bien ambientado y cumple con su cometido, hacerte sentir indefenso y pequeño. Absorviéndote psicológicamente durante el inicio acogedor y dando, durante la aventura, contraste de la calidez y calma que brinda la compañía de un fiel osito de felpa con el terror que vive un bebe ante la ausencia de su madre.
Among the sleep tiene una duración que consideraría yo como la adecuada dando la sensación de que posiblemente, todo sucede durante una noche.

Es un juego muy original y disfruté mucho ponerme en los pies de un bebé durante unas horas en compañía de mi osito por lo que lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Never Alone es un juego de tipo plataforma y aventura. Sigue la historia de Nuna, una pequeña niña de la tribu de Alaska de los iñupiat, y su pequeño amigo, un zorro blanco que acaba de llegar en el momento más oportuno. Juntos irán en busca de la causa de la tormenta de nieve que acecha la aldea donde vive la pequeña cazadora. Una historia sencilla pero que es enriqucida por los pequeños trozos de documental que uno va consiguiendo a lo largo del juego y que explican poco a poco la forma de vida y la cultura de esta tribu. Recomiendo ver los documentales conforme uno los va consguiendo ya que aunque no hablen de la historia del juego, esto le da bastente profundidad.

El juego se va desarrollando conforme resuelves los pequeños acertijo en forma de plataforma. Para ello puedes controlar a la chica o a su pequeño amigo el zorro. Yo lo jugué sólo pero tiene la opción de co-op para que tú, junto con tu amigo, cada uno maneje a cada personaje; una razón más para ser rejugado.

Este es un juego sencillo, artístico, con gráficos 3d muy bonitos y muy bien ambientado. Un juego que da algunas horas de diversión, que enseña sobre la vida de gente real, basado en una historia de esta tribu en Alaska que la mayoría desconocíamos, y sostenido todo esto por una bella historia de algo muy valioso, la amistad. Lo cual hace que en lo personal(aunque no sea un juego con grado de dificultad alto) lo recomiende ampliamente.

Es curioso, siempre me gustó South Park pero nunca fui gran fanático de la serie,y este juego, al acabarlo, me hizo empezar a ver la serie y agarrarle cierto cariño a cada personaje. Posiblemente los creadores querían eso, y en mi lo lograron.
El juego da la sensación como si estuvieras viendo la serie en televisión, visitando todos los lugares icónicos como las casas de los habitantes e interactuando con cada personaje conocido de la serie (Hasta Al gore). No vale la pena entrar mucho en que tipo de humor tiene el juego pues si conoces la serie, lo mantuvieron igual y eso me encantó!
La historia se centra en el chico nuevo que se acaba de mudar a South Park(tú). Y todo empieza al querer salir de tu casa a hacer nuevos amigos y darte cuenta que los niños están jugando un juego de rol, de tipo fantasía, en la que unos son humanos y otros elfos y que todo gira alrededor de tener el control del"Stick of truth", una bara que dentro del juego da el poder de dominar el universo a quien la tenga.

Un juego de humor y un poco dificil de definir pero que disfruté muchísimo. Con toques Cyberpunk, cine Noir y maquinaria un poco excéntrica. Un juego de aventura que sentí muy vivo, cada esquina de cada escenario tiene vida y vale la pena ser explorado; lo que contraresta lo corto del juego y lo hace de una duración adecuada. Cada NPC tiene diálogos y situaciones que enriquecen el juego bastente. Con algunos minijuegos y situaciones que hacen parodia a algunos juegos clásicos. Un juego bastante original y que si recomiendo.
