Early Access Review
I will update this into a detailed game review and maybe change it into a positive rating if the devs will fix the AI from killing you through doors and walls.
Yes, they literally shoot through concrete walls and kill you through metal doors with TEC9 pistols. That's when they're not lasering you instantly in the face on some occasions.

The AI is really, really hardcore bad and these glitches make it unplayable for me at this stage of development. I cannot recommend anyone to buy it, better try your luck with Ground Branch.

Also, you should be able to sprint at least for a limited period of time or move faster with light armor, but this is not possible right now.

A cheap and bad knock-off of Devour. It tries to be the same game but fails miserably. I managed to play less than an hour and counted several bugs, one of which was game-breaking. I can't understand why there are so many positive reviews, I can only assume these are fake, which is disappointing of a game studio. I hope Steam mods will be checking these.

- A random player that joined us got stuck between 2 boxes (permanently) in the basement of the map we were playing. After attempting to break free for about 3 solid minutes, he just gave up and left the match.
- The game does not have VOICE CHAT!!!! No ways of communicating in-game.
- No diversity of sounds (doors opening, phantom hunt etc)
- Low-quality lighting, flashlight lighted objects and other players look horrible up close
- Objective items (dolls running around) getting stuck in door frames

I know this game is cheap, but do yourself a favor and don't buy it. Check out Devour and Phasmophobia instead. Don't waste a minute on this trash, it's not polished in any way to deserve even 10 cents.

Tl;dr: Game is bad, unpolished, players get stuck, 90% of positive reviews are fake bots.

CS:GO Review
Russians and their cheats ruined this game, cancer to the online community. VAC is useless, as it's always been.

[!!] Latest Edit: I changed this review from negative to positive. It took them 2 years, but they finally fixed the dsync issues (even mentioned them in the latest changelog). Maybe next time, listen to your community earlier? [!!]

I was always a fan of the genre, but I never got too deep into it prior to Stellaris. When I first tried this game out on a free weekend a few years ago, I was simply blown away. I never thought I'd want to play a game this tedious for 12h straight. Unfortunately, the devs ruined it by adding bad DLCs, not communicating with the community and ruining the game version by not patching common issues since 2 years ago.

I have abandoned this game for one simple reason: it has become impossible for me and my mates to play it due to Dsync issues. The forums (Paradox and Steam) are both full of people reporting this issue since 2019 OCT, yet they don't seem to care. They never respond. Instead they waste our time by posting useless "dev diaries" here on the Steam Community to give new users the illusions that they are actually actively fixing stuff, when, in reality.. they're not. Imagine playing a map for 6h on a Sunday and then suddenly receiving random errors mid-game saying that your partner is desynced on a major gameplay element. Suddenly, what they have on the screen + game events doesn't match what's happening on your end.

Addendum: I am not using any mods, me and all my friends are playing vanilla plus a few DLCs. We have tried multiple fixes, all we know is all anyone on the internet can assume. Paradox isn't issuing anything about this as an explanation.

I enjoy World War themed games, especially since most of them remind me of MOHA (not that Verdun is related as an experience) and take me back to some very good moments in my gaming history.

As far as Verdun goes:

The player-base is extremely small. You join a Frontline mode (basically two huge teams fighting for capture points on the map) and you'll encounter 4 to 6 human players and the rest are AI. About 28 or so since the max number per team is 32?
And if you're lucky you'll have another human squad of 4 on the opposing side.
The other modes are barely populated as well, with very few players joining in.

As far as the gameplay goes, the weapons feel alright given the fact that they're supposed to be heavy, sort of sluggish and hard to control given the year of fabrication of the models. You have different classes to select, each with 4 different load-outs - though most of them contain a similar weapon model. Much to the way you select roles and load-outs in Squad or Post-Scriptum, let's say.

There isn't much use in distinguishing between classes: there are no medics. The sniper class is not so easy or popular since the scope is hard to get used to. The MG runs out of ammo quickly and it's not smart to choose on any type of map. So you'll be stuck playing bolt-action rifles most of the game, honestly. Segregation of roles is not so relevant, though NCOs can call in artillery on the enemy, a well-placed MG soldier can choke important map points and so on.

The AI is terrible and I can't stress this enough. Droves of them walking blindly into enemy fire, they don't even bother shooting most of the times until they're like 10M away from you. Playing PvE in this game is more like aim-training than anything else, for you to get used to the weapons, modes are absolutely pointless since you can mow down hundreds of AI soldiers with just 2 mates on your squad that have decent aim.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong but though the game has a voice button, it shows as not working in-game and I've never heard anyone else speak either. Communication in the game is very minimal and so is your interaction with any human players.

The maps aren't so bad, but they're not that wow either. If you like fighting in trenches especially, they pull that off nicely but not much else to boast.

If you just want a game to spawn in, sprint few hundred meters and then click-click action kill tons of people (well, more AI than people) this game is okay. Not much in the way of tactics or smart gameplay. It's kind of mindless mostly.
All in all, I'd rather buy Squad or Post Scriptum to be honest. I don't dislike this game, but I don't like it enough to give it a positive review either.

Total disaster, dead, pay to win garbage. While confused by the battle mechanics I have only 3 choices in choosing a game path: Quick Match, Ranked or Tournament. Since Ranked required a certain power (which is difficult to obtain) you cannot play it. All the same for tournament. Therefore you are left with a single option and that is to repeatedly play QUICK MATCH. I did so, was matched 2 times with the same opponent and waited 15 minutes the third time just to not be matched with anyone because there are NO PLAYERS.

Please discourage these kind of games and let them die. Free to play did not save this pile of junk so waste your breath.

tl;dr: Should you download this? NO! Invest your time in something else.

One of my favorite games of all time. Definitely played the ♥♥♥♥ out of this one over the years.. when I wasn't using Steam that is. I finished the game about 5 times and its sequel for about 8 times. Bought it here so I can finish it again!

As an RPG this is a turn-based combat system with an AMAZING story that launches you in a veeeery far-away pre-Vader timeline. As a passionate gamer (more like retired weekend warrior now) I love a game with a good story. RPGs have always been my weak spot ever since I finished Gothic I.

If you overlook the fact that the graphics are kinda chunky (not too unusual for this game's age) and you're tired of today's new goodgraphicsbadstory game --> give this a spin! You have my undying promise that you will not be disappointed.

GRIND 'TIL YOUR TEETH FALL OFF.
It's pretty immersive, but somehow it doesn't keep me as connect as I would have thought. I keep hearing about how good this game is and I keep playing it for hours every now and then but simply can't manage to get hooked..

I will keep giving it a try every year like I always do, maybe it will stick.

Pros:
• Nice, quick and fluid combat mechanics
• Challenging crafting system
• Not pay-to-play: literally everything you see in that premium shop can be crafted in game through farming the proper components, no wow advantages can be received by paying.
• Neat graphics, although if you're reading this I don't think you're that type of gamer.

Cons:
• The game is literally a grindfest. If you can overlook the fact that 99% of the goals you can set for yourself in the game are achievable through hardcore grinding.. go for it.
• Lack of diversity in mission objectives. Protect that refinery, steal the codex, protect the bomb or kill everyone on the map that is 'infested'.. either way it all comes down to.. guess what? GRINDING!
• Character customization isn't so vast, just a few armor sets here and there and you needing to pay to buy a color palette.
• AI is weak. Aside from being overwhelmed by OP droves of idiots they're really not that intelligent. They just storm in on your location and try to overpower you.. some have abilities. That's about it.

I love this game. Why isn't it longer? Me and my friends had a blast with the few missions available.
