Lifelong Halo fan, free multiplayer is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great, so happy 343 wised up. I really want Halo multiplayer to be popular, it's been literally a decade since I've enjoyed it (MCC multiplayer was a bit disappointing imo even if it was still worth it for the campaigns). That being said, I cannot recommend it whilst the game is in its current state. It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimized. DeepThought could run this at 45FPS on a good day. I'll buy the campaign when they fix this though. The game is good looking, but nowhere near good enough to justify how difficult it is to run, especially when compared to its predecessors - which were built for Xbox!

Early Access Review
This is a work in progress so there really is no point in critiquing the many unpolished parts of the game. What I do think is worth addressing is the relentlessly level-gated quests.
Instead of levelling through completing the quests, it would seem that the devs expect the player to level in order to complete many quests, which the player can do by grinding mobs. This is not true for all the quests in the game, plenty are good fun, but the mage academy quests recently added are a prime example. I'm enjoying coming back to this one as it is updated, but if this is the direction the new updates are taking the game, then I cannot recommend investing the time or money.
I will still revisit this one though, and I'm loving the frequent updates.

love this series to bits. long story short; the solo campaign is worth the price alone, but the game is not worth buying in its present state for any other reason, even coop.

The coop input lag is god awful, something about the game makes it happen, even LAN servers experience it. sometimes it's ~100ms of delay sometimes it's as much as 1/2 a second. We all had fond memories of coop back in the day I'm sure, this remaster has NEVER delivered this experience for me.
EU multiplayer is dead and US lobbies are unplayable.

Please fix this 343, it's false advertising to sell this game claiming it has cooperative campaign or multiplayer.

Still totally worth for the solo campaign though.

Beautiful and awesome game, especially when playing with friends, but has non-existant customer support.
Hackers are everywhere and rockstar's system only seems to ban legit players, furthermore, they will not accept responsibility for this and will not unban you regardless if you have 100's of hours in game and/or have poured money into the P2W system.
It has one fo the most toxic communities out there, you can't drive anywhere without being obliterated by some dude who's hacked in a tank. The new update only encourages this by telling everyone in the session to kill anyone doing missions for minimal payout.
8/8 was a CEO and lost money to random hackers/greifers online, then got banned because having your internet drop out whilst customising a car is an attempted 'money glitch.'

All of rockstar's efforts and funds have been put into making money and trying to protect it with anti hacker systems so strict they ban regular players and not a decent support system or more interesting content.

EDIT

Rockstar's 1 month ban is now over, I contacted them multiple times through their ticket system and by phone to no avail so I waited it out. They also decided to remove the 2 mil I grinded for hours to get.
