The years have turned to centuries, the centuries to millennia, and still—I run. I have seen the world crumble and be reborn, watched the stars shift in the sky, felt time stretch beyond meaning. Kingdoms have fallen to dust, entire civilizations lost to the abyss of history, yet one thing remains. It follows. Silent. Patient. Unstoppable. No walls can contain it, no oceans can deter it. I have fled to the edges of the Earth, hidden in vaults deep beneath mountains, soared beyond the clouds in machines of my own making. And yet, I know. It moves still, inch by inch, moment by moment. The weight of eternity presses upon me, heavier than I ever imagined, and in my darkest moments, I wonder—do I run because I fear death, or because I fear what it would mean to finally stop?
