Sony realized that requiring an account link was impossible for many players and decided to undo this colossal misstep. Below is what my review was prior to their backpedaling.

Saddling players with a requirement to sign in with a Sony account, whether they had one or not, seems like the behavior of a game that got bought out. This has been a Sony published game from the start and only just now are they imposing more requirements on how you access the game.

To argue directly with the wording of the account linking update:
I do not believe that linking my Steam account with a Sony account will increase the security and safety of any information passed between me and these companies. I do not believe this is the "main way to protect players from griefing" - Steam accounts have unique IDs and can be banned individually, and I'm sure there are protections in place to prevent family sharing workarounds. I do not believe that this uniquely allows players to appeal a ban; other systems and solutions can be implemented for this.

In a time where data brokers influence companies to suck more and more information about a userbase, individuals are getting tired of it. There are only so many hoops people will jump through, and only so many trips through online wringers of privacy.
Sony wants more and more and they'll end up with less and less.

Almost three years ago, this game quietly found its way to the steam store. Whispers.. louder, louder.. Cheering, joyous praise, excitement, and the game had come across everyone's mind, whether it be in passing or whether they were neck deep in it.. enjoying the world, uncovering its secrets, deciphering the few cryptic nods..

Three years ago, this game came out. There's so much to be said about it. The characters are memorable and unique, you are who you make yourself out to be and there's no better way to do any of it, besides the way you decide.

This game, this video game, pixels on a screen, became more of a part of my life than any other thing I've done on my computer. I still listen to the music, I still tap the rhythms idly, and I still whistle the tunes while I'm outside...
and I still remember all of it.

Play this game. Experience the world, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This game could be chalked up to be a combination of a lot of recent games, and I could list all of those; but it would not do this game any kind of respect.

This game is pleasantly fast paced with different ways to play and different game modes reminiscent of capture the flag and king of the hill. It's seriously worth a shot.

yes there are microtransactions but it's all cosmetic stuff that you can get by leveling up. the whole "lootbox" aspect people are familiar with.

Payday 2 was a fun game. "Was" being the keyword. I've clocked 629 hours and almost all of that was spent with friends, or even making friends in the occasional public game.

Overkill was trustworthy. There were a few sketchy things that happened, like the "HYPETRAIN" event being fueled by real money stuff.
I thought it was a little messed up; anyone would. Community driven events should be driven by the game being played, not money being spent.

Apologies were made, but a scar was left.

Now, with the second "CRIMEFEST" event, we were promised free rewards for community collaboration.
Free rewards were not delivered. We, as a community, were given a CS:GO/TF2 Crate/Key system, with the rewards being guns with skins(a 5 gig update. Not a great thing for limited bandwidth/data users.), and slightly better stats.

Overkill said there would not be microtransactions in the game.
This has now become a lie.

I do not recommend Payday 2 anymore.

just kidding they fixed this yay game is ok again

Warframe is an impressive work of a game. You might think, just by looking at its store page with the "Free to Play" tag and the "dlc" packs underneath that it's Pay to Win.
That is not the case. Not even a little bit. You can obtain everything non-cosmetic in the game without paying a dime. You can even trade rare items for the in-game currency, platinum. So you really can get everything without paying.

You start off with little, taking a weapon of choice for a Primary, Secondary and a Melee weapon, as well as one of three Warframes. Your Warframe has certain abilities that set it aside from others. As you master your weapons and Warframe, The Lotus takes notice and allows you to test your abilities and Rank Up. After you've ranked up, you now have access to better weaponry to take on bigger things.

The mission variety is good, the amount of weapons can be overwhelming, but there's always something to do. Give this game a shot. DE is an excellent company, they do livestreams every other Friday(could be mistaken on schedule) and talk about what's going on, what they're working on and what they want to do.
They listen to feedback from everywhere; Steam Forums(ugh), their own forums, or even Reddit. They are not a greedy company. Give the game a try, it's pretty fun.

This game is perhaps my favorite of all time. There are so many different ways to play, all the way from quiet and pacifistic(???) to loud and lethal. I highly recommend the base game as well as the DLC.
There is no end to how many different ways you can do *everything* in this game. The Blink ability is perhaps the most useful; it allows you to teleport a short distance(or longer, depending on if you upgrade it or not) to either close a gap or gain some distance or even dodge a bullet(which isn't really the easiest).
I cannot explain in just one small review how much I love this game and how amazing it is. Please, if you have any questions, ask me and I will be glad to answer. I think everyone should try this game.

First twenty minutes of the game... Voice acting is alright, but there are a few fine details that bug me.. One of them being the amount of time between one piece of dialogue to another. The other part, the main character makes it VERY clear that he "has no choice" when talking to one of the characters.
Some of the dialogue seems very cliché.
Something that really irks me: Limited save amounts per level.

After about an hour of gameplay, it's okay *at best* for a stealth rpg with powers. I'm not too impressed, but I'll keep playing it just because I like stealth.

I do not recommend this game. You're better off buying Dishonored.

This game is designed to piss you off. It is not worth it, even 75% off. It was made to not be taken seriously and it's nearly impossible to control anything properly.

I highly recommend...
that you stay away from this game. It is not worth it, in my opinion.
