After spending about 20 hours with the preorder Advanced Access version of the game, I wanted to give a fair review of the game itself, I personally find it not helpful to see people giving out negative reviews because they didn't like the Early Unlock incentive (I personally hate them), or they didn't like needing an Epic Games account, or the latest trend of review bombing because of the Terms of Service. So that said, here's my review:

TLDR: It's amazing. a 10/10 for me.

Story mode: It's about 11 hours long for new players. I played through it solo and took 11.8 hours, but I took my time to look at the scenery, the battle barge, looking at what the world was offering and just enjoying the WH40k universe. It's also very replayable if you want to play it with friends as the explore the game for the first time as well. It's very VERY good if you're not a 40k fan. It's fantastic if you are.

Coop Operations: Here's where most of the fun lies. Endlessly repeatable content. Sure there are 6 operations at launch. But they have more planned in their roadmap, and the ones that we have have a degree of RNG (different mobs, random bosses, different invasion patterns) that keep it fresh. Also there's so much progression, everything has some sort of progression here, weapons, class perks, cosmetics... And as you progress you want to push for harder difficulties, or change to other classes and have a completely new experience playing them, it's just too much fun.

Eternal Conflict PVP: It's a very classic team PVP. And even though it's not groundbreaking in terms of innovation. It's still very VERY fun.

The combat mechanics are one of the best I have seen in a while. I don't see any flaws with it really. A few bugs here or there. But nothing major really. It's a very nice flow of shooting, hack and slash, parrying and execute. It all just goes very well together. It's as if DOOM 2016 and Gear of War had a baby, but it turns out Warhammer 40k was one of their grandparants, so the baby inherited all of the personality and look of that grandparent.

For a 1.0 launch with a very good public roadmap, we're in for a great game for years to come.

This game is an improvement over its predecessor... which was already an awesome game. And the humor is great.
