This is just painful.

I love the Monster Hunter series, been playing since Unite, and it's just infuriating to have the newest installment to be a steaming-hot pile of disconnects and crashes. IT'S BEEN A MONTH FROM RELEASE AND YOUR SERVERS STILL CAN'T HANDLE YOUR PLAYER BASE!? Forcing us too stay online just to crash and disconnect every single time.

As much as I love this game, I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this time. Maybe in 3-4 months when Capcom finally decides to fix this mess, AND they add more content.

IS IT FUN? Yes, all MH games are.
ARE THE NEW MECHANICS ENGAGING? Yes, and insanely fun.
IS THE GAME UN-OPTIMIZED WITH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SERVERS? Pretty much.

A labor of love. Easily the best Neighborvania out there, even compared to the newer releases.

10/10 would sink 300 more hours if I could.

I initially forgot I had this in my library ever since I read how bad it was, but now that I've played it 7years after release, I don't really know where all the hate came from. It's a solid stand alone game. Sure it's not ME:Trilogy level of story-telling and quality, but it has its quirks and shouldn't really be compared to the trilogy since it is it's own game.

Does it fall short to world building compared to trilogy? Maybe. Is it a fun game on it's own right? I certainly think so. Can't really compare Andromeda to a trilogy though. It's fun, decent story, and overall a great experience.
