There is no time refund for actions, which means that if you are playing combo you are likely to lose to timer if you do not know EXACTLY what actions to take IMMEDIATELY after a disruption or a change in board state. This encourages player to play decks that require as few moves as possible to play, think decks like Tenpai or any form of Stun. Its incredibly frustrating especially in circumstances where Konami is pushing us to buy packs for new decks that are very combo heavy. Take this as a warning for anyone expecting to play something like Memento, its infeasible especially when you only get a 30s time refund after you finish your turn, which means that if you don't time out on your turn, you're timing out on your opponent's turn.

What an excellent game. Very replayable.

It is everything you ever want, you can play at your own pace, super chill, very addicting, good progression curve.

The tutorial was pretty informative and explained most of the mechanics with great detail in how they worked and interacted with other systems, but it didn't explain the implications of how they must be used for optimal gameplay. After watching some videos on YouTube I started a game on Iceland to start small and slowly learn the systems myself. It was pretty fun and got to do some light raids and domain management. After some hours I played Sweden, I got invaded by Denmark quite early and rage quit. I came around to it again and played Sweden once more just to see if I can learn from my mistakes. After some diplomacy and conquest, the illustrious and learned High King Solvi Hallsteinnsson, a Living Legend, Paragon of Virtue, Emperor of Scandinavia, King of Sweden, King of Norway, King of Denmark, King of Sapmi, King of Finland, King of Lithuania, Duke of Uppland, Duke of Norrland, Count of Upland, Count of Gestrikalandia, and Count of Södermannaland, had conquered Scandinavia and Britain, and waged Holy War against the monotheists of the southern lands for sacrifices to Thor, and executed 38 infedels including the heir of East Frankia yeah stfu this game has some litty larp, I highly recommend.

Not gonna lie. This is what a proper remaster should look like.

I dunno what it is, but it's just so satisfying to play. Definitely helps that it's the shortest time spent per campaign out of all paradox GS games, meaning you can sit down for an evening and finish a game (or at least get sufficiently far enough into one). Lot's of great mods too,

I like it a lot, just a simple cosmetic DLC if you really enjoy the game.
