A huge step back from 2nd and 3rd remakes.

Huge mob spawns when you trigger hidden checkpoints, punishing exploration, you lose more ammo than you can asquire from killing people, no dodge option at all. You can sometimes crouch under horizontal attacks and that's it. They made new parry system, but knives are breaking in an instant, and in the end your only shield is your face. QTE events are cut down to 20 % (comparing with OG RE4)

Regular enemies, bosses all can jump around like adrenaline monkeys, but not you Leon. Apparently secret service training made you weak on the knees. Poor fella.

It feels shorter than OG RE4 (NO BOULDER WTF) and fighting boss battle after boss battle after boss battle feels very tiring. You can drown in money, yet you can't even buy yourself some ammo, only 1 med spray allowed to purchase per chapter. ♥♥♥♥ this.

Still, you can use whacky name for your character and have playful conversations right away, or try to play serious with other randoms...there is many ways to have fun, even if your team are losing.

I am not a big fan of walking simulators, but this one keeps you engaged whole playthrough.

Great visual retro futuristic atmosphere, slightly branching storyline, only downside is abrupt ending - during last cutscene sudden credits drop and no epilogue slides are present, summarising the results of your actions. This is really frustrating, so be warned.

Leader of the sept is transwoman, her subordinate (your companion) is a gay man, dating in the past a gay antagonist. LMAO what? For God's sake, it is supposed to be story about Gaia and werewolves! Not Gaya! /facepalm

/upd okay first gay man came out as bisexual. Later on you meet people from another sept and your next companion are also a lesbian. option to ask "is your GF a refugee too?" came up even without any prior knowledge that she was dating someone. Feels like SBi just took a complete written story and just forced devs to include as many gays as possible. For shame.
