A balance patch or two is desperately needed before it's worth the asking price, but it's fun for what it is.

I'm surprised people gave Cyberpunk 2077 so much heat when this game is still in a pre-release state 4 years later.

I really enjoy the game at its peak, which is when you're genuinely dueling someone 1-on-1, but the opportunities for doing so are very rare. The combat system falls apart at the seams when you fight multiple people at once. Something that happens all the time during the story and in the open world. The camera constantly fights you, you're often locked into multiple animations for more than 30 seconds, and Henry will refuse to even swing his weapon at the enemy at constant intervals. Again, if you're dueling someone fairly, these issues are typically non-existent and the combat is wonderful.

I truly appreciate how beautiful the game can be, and it's certainly amazing to see yourself decked out in plate armor in the endgame. Aesthetically, Kingdom Come is amazing, making you appreciate all the small details when it came to designing pieces of armor or the pages of history you can access from the codex. However, this falls apart when you realize how ultimately shallow the core experience is. I am truly disappointed that a studio so ill-equipped was trusted with making a game of this scale. You'd be better off playing the Mount and Blade series for a superior medieval experience.

You should vote for this in the Steam Awards NOW.

Quite possibly the most moving game I've ever played. The only thing I could think of that would turn people away from Nier is the fact that you have to beat it multiple times to get the "true ending". However, every playthrough is slightly different in its own right, and really changes itself up the fifth time around. You'd be able to experience every bit of story and side content in around 40 hours, which is pretty generous for an RPG these days.

For anyone thinking of playing Automata, Replicant should be your first stop. If you've already played the former, this would be an excellent way of filling in those contextual gaps you missed. They even got some of the Automata cast to voice new roles, so there's plenty to feel nostalgic about.

Early Access Review
Very unbalanced, cheaters galore, and a matchmaking system that's guaranteed to give you teammates who under-perform every single time. Luckily, the game is free, so I don't feel scammed out of my hard-earned dosh. My time, on the other hand, was completely wasted.

The anti-cheat is also Chinese spyware, so that's another reason to stay away. I don't understand how devs keep thinking kernel-level access will eliminate cheating entirely; there's other ways to do it besides hogging resources to harvest personal information. Thanks, Tencent, for ruining another IP I was excited for.

I was expecting a multiplayer experience akin to Aliens vs Predator from 2010, or even some form of Dead by Daylight with guns. What I got instead was a lazy, shallow game that's trying to milk fans of the franchise for money. Not worth, even when it inevitably goes free-to-play to charge for loot boxes.

The game is boring: either you get your objectives done as the Fireteam in about two minutes because the Predator is braindead, or you slaughter every single Fireteam member as the Predator in the first 10 seconds because he's just that strong. Balance has clearly been thrown out the window here. Good luck being the Predator though, as queue times for him can go for about 10 minutes. Fireteam queue times are as short as 30 seconds or less.

The graphics settings on PC are very barebones and unoptimized, with textures not looking any different past the medium setting. Anti aliasing and post processing options are controlled by sliders, and offer barely any performance difference between the highest and lowest settings. Performance is fantastic as the Predator, but as soon as you step into the Fireteam's shoes, your FPS will dip for no reason even with all settings put to low. Forget the poor balancing, even the engine doesn't want the Fireteam to win.

I'm still waiting for the day we'll be swept off our feet with a Concrete Jungle remake, but until then, just stick to AvP 2010 if you're a hardcore fan.

Imagine banning players for getting disconnected from CASUAL/SOCIAL game modes in 2020.
