This is one of the nicer phone games with the time mechanic known from titles like Farmville. You can play this without ever sinking money on it and it boots so quickly you can just pick it up, update all your actions, and close it again and be on with other stuff. Nice for like a quick diversion when you don't have time to boot a bigger game.

This is such a direct remaster you could almost claim it was a port. It is exactly the same game in my experience, but with quality of life changes such as the updated visuals and the unlockable videos. They also made it possible to pick a more "modern" control scheme, for those of us who have become used to doing right-clicking instead of left-clicking. This is the best version of the original Command & Conquer and the original Red Alert to play, even though the original versions are still available on Origin.

Halo as a series is one of those big influential FPS series. Dedicated grenade button? health recharge in cover? That's Halo. Online multiplayer? While yes, Quake had kicked in the door I don't think there can be any denying that Halo 2 truly brought online FPS multiplayer into the mainstream. I have 6 hours on Steam but I have been playing the Xbox One version of the game for quite a while and well.. it's Halo. Even the worst parts is still a pretty high end FPS series and in the Master Chief Collection you get almost every entry in the game save for Halo 5 and the RTS spin-off series. Get this if you like science fiction, it's one of the best shooters in the genre.

Levels you can play again and again without getting the same experience twice, as well as making the series much more approachable for a mainstream audience like myself that's been kinda intimidated by it in the past. Completely recommend, even if you have never played any of these before! Also, it lets you play the story of the first game from this reboot series through with some adjustments to the old levels.

probably the best story of the modern GTA games, if you liked GTA but felt like it needed deeper writing I guess you found the game you want

Just a fun little 3D platformer with Mickey Mouse. There's not much to it beyond that, but if that's what you want it delivers just fine.

Acting is great, and deciding to not speak in broken English was a really good choice. If they had done so it probably would've made it unintentionally comical. If you like historical dramas, Papers, Please is a pretty accurate representation of the life in Iron Curtain era Eastern Europe. Even if you're not familiar with the gameworld, it's pretty relatable. Good stuff, doesn't outstay its welcome, probably the first great video game adaptation.

Just finished the main plotline as of 10 minutes ago and honestly? Not bad. It's a short and sweet metroidvania style game set in the greek mythos where you get to interact with most of the well known members of the greek pantheon. The game is plagued by crashes unfortunately, when entering new main hub areas the game will crash half the time and while the game fortunately autosaves often enough for you to not lose that much progress it's still a pretty big stain on the game.

The hitdetection can also at first feel kind of off, the game is very particular about the arc of your weapon actually hitting the enemy with the sharp end and not just the entire weapons hitbox as would be the case in other 2D games. I quickly got used to it however. Thankfully the combat system is pretty varied, throughout your quest you will find a bunch of different weapons that don't all play the same and you're sure to find a favorite among some.

The AI is kind of.. wonky. Enemies with suddenly stand completely still merely yelling at you while hopping in place and throwing rocks at you. Like a football hooligan that really needs to take a ♥♥♥♥ but is more focused on roughing you up.

I recommend this game is you're a fan of metroidvania style games and either don't feel like playing the classics for the hundreth time or just want to play something from a smaller developer. There IS good ideas here. The boss battles never felt samey and a lot of the encounters felt fittingly epic. You'll be fighting as a general, one on one, by horseback, at sea.. a LOT of variety. For the price, I'll definitely say I got my moneys worth.

Daedalic is probably one of the last companies making "traditional" point and click adventures around, as such, prepare for the sort of "logic" and comedy that usually is in titles like these. Deponia encompasses both the faults and the great things about the genre, wrapped around a funny story with some pretty good animation. Rufus, the main character, is very much a Guybrush Threepwood sort of deal. A not very capable person who somehow manages to worm his way out of a bunch of sticky situations with only a.. few.. bruises taken for it. This being the first of a trilogy that was already planned at the time, expect a lot of setup that hints at a deeper lore and character arc in the series beyond what we experience here. If you love point and click adventure, or just a good laugh, I recommend Deponia. Just remember, this is not an action title.

Remember the original North & South? This is that, but with pre-rendered 3D graphics. Do not get it if you expect more than that, but why would you want more? This is exactly what I wanted at least.
