You might consider giving Alan Wake another chance. I know it starts off a bit of an acid trip or a cliche and it is a bit cliche, it is a fairly obvious attempt at cashing in on the silent hill franchise. But it does have a nice flavor of its own. It plays out like a tv show and the story is something straight out of Stephen King novel. Infact it makes a lot of references to Stephen King and it would not surprise me in the slightest if he wrote the story for the game. You find these pages of a novel that he doesn't remember writing and it foreshadows things to come in the future. It might be worth a little more of your time. I could total understand why you might have quit playing when the "God" appears and helps him to get to the light house in his dream but that doesn't happen again at least not as far in the story as I have gotten which is through episode one. :snowglobe:

so how is the Alan Wake game. The screen shots look pretty good, but what is the game play like?
