It's like Dark Souls except bad.

A very impressive Taito-inspired doujin shmup with a lot of Rayforce cues. Spectacular presentation (within its idiom). Steer clear if you hate bendy lasers though.

this game's real easy to 100%

what did i like about this game:
1.) sheva's cute
2.) looks pretty good once you remove the piss filter
what did i not like about this game:
1.) co-op is mandatory since the AI is a useless boat anchor that will burn all your ammo and then die
2.) enemies are either brain-dead nonthreats or brain-dead giant piles of hitpoints that have obnoxious instakill attacks
3.) inventory is tiny and managing it is a huge pain in the ass
4.) mechanics designers and level designers seemed to have some kind of fundamental disagreement on what sort of game they were making and as a result you have shooter maps while your characters walk really slow, can't move while aiming and have limited ammo
5.) bosses and large enemies have too much health
6.) bosses and large enemies have way too much health
7.) bosses and large enemies just have an obnoxious amount of health, seriously, what were they thinking
8.) why does one of the enemy models look like borat, what part of africa is this supposed to be

A potentially cool game marred by bad execution: the framerate is choppy, the controls drop inputs and some things just outright don't work (for instance, it completely ignored my attempts to remap the controls.) Badly in need of a patch that it doesn't look like it's ever going to get.

a shameless god of war clone with no pretensions of being anything else. pretty good at it, though -- smooth combat, well-optimised engine, story that doesn't waste your time.

I can deal with the constant trial-and-error instadeath gameplay but not with the annoying physics, Eryi accelerates/changes direction like she weighs 40 tons.
