This game is more than just ghost hunting.

This game takes ghost or demon hunting to a new level that even veteran horror fans will appreciate.

One of the standout features of Blood Red is its remake of the now well-known ghost hunting games. After the identification is done, you also need to get rid of the ghost or demon. And this is something I personally wished for in the other games.

It’s almost impossible to not compare Blood Red to the other horror games of this type, but this game has many new features, like finally being able to protect yourself instead of hiding. I also found a new twist in the use of lighting;
the otherwise dark and atmospheric environments are lit up with the flashlight but only when attached to your crossbow. Yes, we finally have some weapons to ward off the minor enemies. Even an axe to make the limbs fly, or to be collected for the next step of ghost hunting: Banishment!

I play horror games for the thrill and Blood Red had many great and genuine scares, mainly because the smaller enemies gave no warning when they were right behind you, unlike the main demon which can kill you in an instant. The tension builds steadily throughout the game because the longer you play, the harder it gets. The game managed to keep me engaged, thanks to its eerie atmosphere and unsettling encounters.

In conclusion, I can’t wait to see more maps, enemies, and new features (which one of the developers told me himself was coming, but no spoilers here) in this horror game which takes ghost hunting to a new level. Well done.

PS. The playable piano in the lobby is a wonderful detail!
