Pretty fantastic Factorio/Satisfactory clone. The Chinese to English translation is laughably bad and kind of hard to understand, but you can figure it out. It certainly wouldn't hurt them to spend some of their big steam bucks on a translator though. But otherwise it's a very science filled game with your normal factory progression. I've been enjoying it a lot so far.

Interesting game. The issue is, I did the tutorial, and then played a bit. It doesn't look like you can save your progress except when you exit the game. I ran into some kind of thing that basically killed all my drones easily, I couldn't seem to do anything to stop it except to die more. I'm not going to waste hours doing boring basic grind stuff then die to some weird enemy that insta-kills my crew and apparently there's nothing I can do to stop it or get my drones back. Apparently I should have just left with what I had, but the 30 second tutorial didn't really do much to help. I'm not interested in wasting hours doing boring repetitive tasks, only to lose it all to some insta-gib ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Seems like an interesting concept, but honestly it's kind of a grindy as hell puzzle game. Just not worth the time investment. If steam had a neutral option I'd give it, but since it doesn't, I'd say if you really like roguelike puzzle games maybe you'd like it. But for me it's a thumbs down.

Definitely feels early access, gameplay loop is extremely boring and repetitive. Tried to finish a game, made it 2 miles, just too boring.

Absolutely fantastic, best crafting/survival game in years. It has great building and crafting, procedurally generated world, with boats, vikings, interactive combat. Your character uses skills which level up as you repeat actions. You can cook food, craft all kinds of weapons and armor, mine metals and smelt, chop down trees, make bows. Free form building system. You can raise and lower ground, mine down into the earth, etc. There's ruined buildings and dungeons with loot. Multiple bosses to face. It's really a lot of fun. A total bargain for 20 bucks.

I like this game. It is definitely a bit buggy. Anyone who thought the game would be pushed several times as it was and then be bug-free on launch is delusional. A lot of the game systems are kind of mediocre, but as far as the overall feel goes, I think it is a fun game and despite the bugs and other issues, I still think it's a fun game. If you don't like bugs or if you don't have a higher end graphics card (1080 ish) I'd probably wait a while to buy it.

Kind of a mix of Rimworld and Factorio. Be warned though, while this is a survival game, it's a bit more of an engineering game than a survival game. The game involves fairly intricate systems of foods, power, temperature, fluids and gasses. It's a very deep game, and it's kind of designed for people who have a lot of time to learn and fail and iterate. The depth of the game is extremely impressive.

This game is very deep, but very very grindy. It takes kind of a "special" person to put up with this grind. The game has very deep crafting system, and it's very rewarding to reach those levels of accomplishment, but to be honest a lot of it is boring grind. And the game is lonely, because a lot of people won't put up with an absurd grind with bad graphics.

The truth is, it's an amazing sandbox game, with an amazing depth and an amazing number of things to do. The world is born raw, and it is all built by the players. All of the towns, other than the spawn, built by players. Every road. Every statue. Every guard tower. All of the weapons and armor and tools. All built by players.

The biggest thing I don't like besides the loneliness sometimes, is the devs are, to be blunt, kind of bad. They almost never add new content, and they don't tend to fix much either. The game feels abandoned, even though it is still supported.

The second thing I don't like, is the game feels kind of greasy to me about money. They double and triple dip you. Which in some ways makes sense because they've survived with a small number of players. You need premium time to play the game. You can buy it with in game money, but good luck with that. Secondly, if you want to do a lot of things, you also need a deed, which is protected space you own. That costs money per month. At the cheapest exchange rate, 1 Euro is 1 silver. Then you need silver to buy things from other players as well. Everything is designed to get you to open your wallet. If you want to play solo you'll probably need multiple accounts as well.

Bottom line for this new review: if you're an idiot hardcore crafter with no life and money you don't mind spending monthly to play a fun sandbox game, then this might be for you. You need to have a hunger to craft and create and build. If you're easily bored and don't like crafting for many hours a day, RUN. Conditional thumbs up.

This game is more WORK than any game I've ever played. This is the grindiest game I've ever played, as a 45 year old gamer that started at about 13 years old on an Apple 2c, that is saying something.

Pros:
1) Open world sandbox game with amazing depth
2) Deep crafting system with large number of interdependencies
3) Actual seasons in the game, with a calendar that takes real time to progress (4.8 game days to 1 real life day), with crop harvesting seasons, animal breeding seasons, tree planting seasons, and so forth
4) A meaningful world where you do appreciate your accomplishments because of how much work it takes to attain them
5) A truly epic and massive world, the size of the world is truly impressive, it would take ages to travel from one end to the other, even on the fastest mount one could get


There are a number of significant flaws with the game:
1) The combat is awful, janky, blocky, and unsophisticated
2) The servers are in Europe only, which means North American players get shafted in PVP
3) The game is the grindiest game I've ever played, it takes a ton of WORK to do ANYTHING
4) The game is essentially abandonware, there are almost zero patches or updates
5) The developers do not listen to the community
6) Almost everyone quits the game due to the aforementioned reasons, meaning there is a constant need to recruit replacements to keep going
7) The map is littered with failed bases and guilds due to the aforementioned reasons
8) For a "free" game, I'm 100 dollars into it in 5 weeks, due to wanting to buy alts, skill up faster, etc
9) A huge investment to build, in a game that does map wipes
10) Because the world is realistic, you have to terraform a lot to build a base, you spend ridiculous amounts of time moving soil and levelling ground, it's tedious
11) For the entire time I've played, if you close the in game map, it breaks the map until you RESTART THE GAME to get it working again, how has this not been fixed? Lazy!!!
12) Servers go down and random issues frequently, with exceptionally poor communication, there may be one single announcement in discord and then something critical won't work for 3 days, before finally an announcement it's been fixed. Very unresponsive.

Ultimately, this is not a game, it's a job. It's just too much work. This game would be much better off as a player hosted game, where the rates could be adjusted to make the game much less work. For example, speed up progression, increase action speeds, lower weight of things like dirt, make digging less painful, maybe make the world flatter in general, or add more flat areas. Ultimately it's just a shame, the game is fun, but it's really just too much work. Although I say that from a PVE perspective, mostly as a building and crafting environment. All of my PVP friends have quit because it's only active on EU hours and the combat itself is terrible.

This game is not bad, but the deal breaker is the terraforming to play is just unbearable long term. The game is grindy but fun, the combat is jank but okay, the servers are in Europe which sucks for North American players. The problem is, to build anything you have to spend countless hours digging to build a base. It's untenable. They need to add ways to make digging much less painful or this game is doomed to remain small time like it is now. Which is a shame because it's a beautiful open world sandbox game, but it's too much WORK.

After 382 hours played, Steam is bugging me to update my review. Their assumption is, since I've played so much, especially since giving the game a negative review, surely I've changed my mind about playing it. Unfortunately no, they are quite wrong. Let me give you a pro and con list.

Pros:
Mount and Blade style combat
Open world PVP
Small but passionate community
Keep based warfare
World is nice, with places to explore, things to find, random events
Somewhat deep crafting system, lots to do, but it is V E R Y grindy

Cons:
Teams are imbalanced BADLY. It is awful to play underdog and devs are not taking any action to fix it
There is a balancing bonus for the underdog nation, HOWEVER, the winning team gets bonuses, so actually comes out that you're still FAR better off to just play for the winning team
Servers are far away. 115 millisecond ping from California on a "North American" server
Horrible lag and desync. People will do a 360 degree spin while in front of you and hit through your shield
Community is toxic. Tremendous amount of poor sportsmanship and greed.
Gameplay is very janky. You will try to jump over something and 3 seconds later appear behind it again.
If you want to swap characters you have to exit and restart the game completely
The game reboots twice a day; if you don't log out beforehand, you have to use task manager to stop it
There is rampant cross-nation play and spying on other teams, scouting with alts, etc
There is no in-game moderator or other presence of any sort to interact with the community
Developer is verbally responsive to criticism but doesn't actually fix issues

Even the community talks horribly about the developer in chat. The consensus is the desync is just brutal and apparently it wasn't always this bad. Trying to play this game with a fricking 115-120ms ping is a nightmare. It's only 73ms from CA to NY. How is it so bad??? Server should be in the central (northern?) US so that all North American players have a fair ping.

Anyway, between all of the issues, and keeping in mind across the whole world only about 300 people play, you honestly should find a different game. Playing this game is an exercise in continual frustration, I have been refusing to give up even though I honestly should. I really like this game when I don't hate it, I just wish they could start fixing some of the actual issues. If you haven't been already sucked in, I strongly recommend you don't play this game.

You know how people say this game has the most toxic community ever? They're not kidding. People will grief / camp your front door / even if you have nothing. Your first hour on a new server. Why not wait for people to have something to take? What's the point in griefing new players? Well, it's not for me...
