Please, spaceship game developers of the world, hear my plea. I long for a world where I can fly my pew pew space ship and SEE IT at the same time. I understand that it's locked to first person for multiplayer for the sweaty competitive scene who will review bomb this into oblivion and take to Twitter with a visceral fervour if they get shot by someone who could see them around the side of a space corner. But I am not them.

I'm a simple man who wants to play Rogue Squadron again (but maybe at 144Hz, instead of 64-bit colour) and would really like to experience a new Star Wars story. However, the claustrophobia that comes from sitting in a cockpit and not really experiencing the majesty of the surroundings because if I want to see something, I have to point my ship at it (and even then, most of it is blocked by a dashboard, you know, for the immersion), is enough to put me off playing this game in it's entirety.

I know that if I don't play the multiplayer, I won't be a micro-transaction cash cow and so my opinion really doesn't matter, but please, I don't see the harm.
