Never in all my years have i found a platform fighter that wasn't just a direct clone of smash, wasn't gimmicky, and didn't get old in 5 seconds. There's 3 characters and 3 stages and its literally the closest I can get to peak smash fun and excitement. Absolutely amazing steal for 7 dollars (4.96 as of now). buy this and get a gamecube controller working because jesus what a blast.

As someone who sincerely and DEEPLY enjoys Phasmophobia I feel if you need to decide with buying one over the other, this game currently has a more diverse set of content that can be enjoyed even with the repetition that comes with either game.

Pros:
Gorgeous and unique map design and usage of environment

Fun Sound Design (You don't hear the same 3 sound effects played at random during scares)

Ghosts have more of a character (In my opinion I feel getting specific ghosts in this game can be more impactful if you lost against it before, seeing as you can get revenge on the ghost once completing all objectives)

Development team seems to post larger more game changing updates per version than other competitors

Progression feels much less grindy since players don't lose equipment upon loss

Cons:
for some puzzles they are not well explained enough, wasting 20+ minutes on a puzzle because the rules are unclear isn't fun. (Yes Skill Issue, but 3 pieces of paper with a riddle isn't good enough explanation for puzzles that do or don't go by ingame rules) (Example: There is a puzzle with statues where players must turn each statue the correct compass direction after reading a riddle. The issue is, the actual ingame compass is not 1 to 1 to the room's orientation, infact, we have found you are better off using the same solution and disregarding the compass entirely. You find a solution during trial and error and it will work for every instance of the puzzle.)

LIGHT SPOILERS:

You can banish spirits in this game to get a larger reward along with an achievement, it's an epic scene with cool music and the ghost taunts you while you play. Unfortunately the gameplay can be boiled down to a simple Wack-A-Mole concept where you hit X monster over and over before they touch the Altar you're using to banish the ghost. Its not the worst, just a bit lack luster after spending a long time solving puzzles.

This game could definitely use a bit more direction, the objectives given are nowhere near as fun as completing the entire contract and banishing the ghost. If someone doesn't do their research to see what more the game has to offer or how to access it, even with the tutorial, its hard to accomplish goals you don't know exist. A radio guy with a few clues in the beginning would be great for this game as well.

It's not really fair to say but of course anyone who plays early access always wants more content. I love all the current ghosts and cant wait for more. but if you play these games alot with friends it can become repetitive (less than other similar titles for this one tho lol)

Obviously the game is early access and bugs may be here and there so use that information as you will.

By far the best game released in the past 5 years. Try and find another game that ruled all media like this upon its release and shook the gaming industry. Controversy after controversy from western developers, simply put, this game shows what players should experience with $60. Sheer perfection with no dlc/micro-transaction bs. A must play.

Cosmetics are prioritized over server optimization and balancing, I cant quit because I'm addicted. play something else.

I HAVE GIVEN THIS GAME SO MANY CHANCES... AFTER HOURS OF BEING LOST WITH NO SENSE OF DIRECTION AND MANY MANY MANY TRIES TO DO SIMPLE TASKS THE GAME NEVER EXPLAINS. I HAVE HIT A SOFT LOCK IN THE GAME THAT HASN'T BEEN FIXED WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH OF THIS GAME BEING OUT. IF YOU CARE, I WILL EXPLAIN BELOW, I DON'T KNOW A SOLUTION. I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME IF YOU CANT COMPLETE IT LMFAO.

I am at the section of the game after decommissioning Chica, my next challenge is to clap Roxy's cheeks. I have made it through the upstairs Fazcade and made it to the point where I need to reactivate 3 breakers. I've done some Googling on this bug, and it seems I am not the only poor fool in this situation. The first breaker past the bathroom is impossible to use, and what-more, Monty (also known as Montgomery alligator) is running at the speed of sound through walls with no collision. And of course, you know, he can kill you in this state. So as of now, for me and many others, this game is unplayable you literally cant beat it. Until they come out with a patch to fix this, I'm done. Markiplier, CoryxKenshin, I'm coming guys...

What a shame I could only play through this game one time. I also really wanted that handshake :(

Online feels amazing! Game needs some mild polishing but I'll forgive it due to most of the budget being on licensing. I initially went into the game scared thinking it wouldnt play as well as smash due to strafing and heavy attacks but to my surprise, this is a FASTER pace than ultimate plus its a wacky 2d platform ANIME fighter with airdash lol. Id say pick it up while its 40$ or wait for sales. 50 is admittedly a bit steep but as this game gets more content and polish I think it will earn its worth. lots of fun so far!

Never thought I'd be this good at handling balls. Give the game a try, once you grip some balls that were flying straight towards your face at blazing speed you'll get it...

The higher you go in ranked the more you realize there are hundreds of ways to grip and handle balls, the feeling of fooling the person that's letting you handle their balls never gets old. long story short, give the game a try and I feel its pretty worth the money to pass my balls around with my bros. (good job EA you really hit the mark on this one)

This game makes me feel terrible.

Dont have to turn on a ps vita to play anymore, and also it isnt P5, win win. Worth the 20 dabloons.
