I hadn't even finished this game and it already surpassed It Takes Two, which is INSANE to think.

Just an absolute pleasure to work through with a friend. The game is filled with detailed worlds, wonderful sounds, clever puzzles and great platforming but this is likely unsurprising if you've played ITT. Where Split Fiction excels is with its characters, this go around Mio and Zoe are a MAJOR upgrade from the insufferable May and Cody of It Take Two.

This game just takes everything about what I loved in It Takes Two and ramps it up. More speed, more cute, more fun, more emotion, more EVERYTHING! Plus you have to applaud a game that only makes one of two people purchase it. The free friends pass has been and will be one of the most consumer friendly things I've seen in the gaming world.

Hazelight had my interest with It Takes Two but now they have my attention. This game is INCREDIBLE and I can't wait to finish it and see what they cook up next. I'll be sure to play A Way Out in the mean time while I wait!!

EDIT: Just finished. Incredible game. Absolutely can not wait to see what Hazelight does next.

I vant to suck your V BLOOD!

V Rising is an awesome combination of survival and ARPG. Offering countless bosses to fight, plenty of enemies to decimate, tons of spells to cast, custom castles to furnish and resources to gather. The progression feels great as of 1.0 and all of the improvement since Early Access are showing!!

Playing with friends is great, there's nothing better than getting stuck on a hard boss and then getting your buddies to come beat them up with you. Blasting baddies with your blood-sucking comrades is just perfect. There is PVP available but I haven't engaged in that as I don't plan on playing on a server that isn't PVE.

The game already has hours of fun, but I can see the developers easily adding in more bosses, new areas to the map or even a new map entirely! Who knows. This game has loads of potential even beyond 1.0 so I'm excited to see where these leathery wings take us. BAT!

HAVE A TASTE OF MY LIBER-TEA!!

This game scratches the exact same itch for me as Deep Rock Galactic. Run and gun with fun buds. Die a lot. Kill a lot. Have a LOT of fun. If this game keeps a steady player base, I can see a lot of fun campaigns coming out through the use of the huge galactic map. LOTS of planets to defend, LOTS of 'bots and bugs to kill.

The devs already plan to add mechs to the game "post-launch" so that's exciting. More stratagems is absolutely going to be a way to keep people entertained, so I hope to see more with time. They also should absolutely double down on the fashion-game as well. That's gonna sell a lot, and with some REASONABLY priced micro-transactions, they can probably keep a lot of players happy with cool armor sets.

That beings said, we always need more bodies for the grinder so an Xbox port would be a very consumer friendly thing to happen. That being said, it's wild Sony even put this on PC at launch lmfao. So we'll see.

EDIT 2024 FALL SALE: No Xbox port but PLENTY of updates! GOTY nominee from me, for sure!

EDIT: THE SQUIDS ARE HERE. This update is goooooood.

Cute and culty. An engaging blend of roguelite hack & slash and farm sim, Cult of the Lamb always keeps coming with free updates that add fantastic new features that keep me coming back to my kawaii kamp. Sacrificing small animals has never been more fun.

Did I hear a rock and stone?!

DRG is probably one of the most unexpectedly fun games I've played in...ever? This action-miner keeps you on the edge of your seat with interesting missions, hilarious voice lines, horrifying enemies and an art-style that is incredibly charming. The whole game screams replayability and playing with your friends is the icing on the cake.

As someone who generally doesn't enjoy "multiplayer" games alone, DRG is the ONE exception to the rule where I find teaming up with 3 other random dwarves a treat. The laser-pointer tool is MIGHTY and lets you ping just about anything for your other dwarves, allowing communication without text or voice although the options are there if you desire them. In addition, for whatever reason the DRG community is unparalleled. In no other game can I go down 3 times in a row (because I'm a Scout main. Weeeeee!) and have people rock and stone me each time. No complaints. No hesitation. No dwarf left behind.

Finally, the developers of this game are just amazing. Each season gets better and better and I have no real FOMO because they constantly are giving players old items from previous events and such. Classy moves team. This game could be monetized to hell but they keep it to a few cosmetic DLC packs. No paid season passes. No microtransactions for every item in the game.

This game is great. Buy it. It goes on sale for ten bucks all the time and you can't beat that. But the full price is WELL worth what you get.

And if you AIN'T rock and stone, you AIN'T comin' home.

You've heard the hype.

This is a situation where you should just listen to it.

This game is FANTASTIC. Writing, character development, music, graphics, acting, EVERYTHING about it is solid. The world feels alive and full, lots of fun little dialog to experience on the streets. The gameplay is simple but rewarding and makes you feel like Spidey. The movement mechanics are FLAWLESS and feel like Spider-Man 2 did back in the day but add so much more stuff (POINT LAUNCH <3), even stuff that I wasn't expecting to use (swinging around corners on buildings) but did!

The remaster is on point, no large/glaring bugs besides some minor movement/pathing stuff. The included DLCs are a bonus and feature some ACTUAL good story for DLCs. The gameplay is more of the same from the main game but harder, which is a bit disappointing...but when the base game is as good as it is, more is always better.

Play this game! Cannot wait for Miles Morales.

Really great homage to games like War of the Monsters and Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee!

Lots of potential with a fun story mode, couch co-op and online play. I bought it for single player and couch co-op so it works for me.

Not a lot of online players at the moment but I'll edit this when/if that changes! The $35 price tag might be a bit daunting to most and may be a stopping block in getting the online portion of the game players. Some free-to-play weekends might help, but I think a $20 price tag would have worked wonders.

I look forward to spending more time with this!! Hope to see more Titans/arenas added as time goes on.

EDIT: They've added Godzilla and Ultraman. I swear to god if they add mechs from Sentai I'll cry tears of joy.

Played this when it came out on the Xbox 360 and was blown away as I had never played a game like it before. The use of the flashlight to weaken enemies was novel and the setting was perfect, being a send up of all the best horror novel tropes (Stephen King fans will appreciate the parallels). I plan on updating this review with a more in-depth take when I re-play it completely on PC. I put about 3 hours in and while it's almost a decade old it still holds up! I can't wait to put more time into it again.

Was not expecting to enjoy this game as much as I did. I played the deluxe version and the art, music and story are all just wonderful. The puzzles are simple and fun and leave you satisfied and the ending left me wanting more. Luckily playing this in 2021, there is a SEQUEL! I immediately went and bought it to continue the emotional journey!

What a great sequel! I had DISTRAINT in my library for years before randomly trying it one day, looking for a short game. I beat it and then INSTANTLY bought this game! It only takes a few hours to get through, but boy are they impactful. The puzzles also aren't too complex and leave you feeling satisfied when you get them. The story continues where the first game left off and finishes it wonderfully, Jesse did such a great job wrapping up the ending of DISTRAINT. In addition, the art is...bizarre, in a good way. The music is lovely and disconcerting at times and fits perfectly in the world.

By the time it was over, I was holding back some tears! What a great game!
