I dont even know where to begin, the writing, the freedom, the dlc is fine, the comedy. This game truly is one of my favorites. It has some of the most memorable lines, most fun exploration, and for once doesn't hold your hand through it. I don't want to dis games that do, but it can be a breath of fresh air feeling you have some remote control of freedom. If the graphics are an issue, there are plently of mods to solve it. This game also has some of the most fun side quests, that I go out of my way to do since I dont want to be it. Highly recommend trying even if it is just making fun of it with a friend in a call.


TLDR: This game is a masterpiece, graphics arent great so download mods

BTW THIS IS MY FIRST HONEST REVIEW! AND I HAVE ADHD SO MY THOUGHTS ARE EVERYWHERE BUT I HOPE THIS HELPS!

Heres my honest review if you are reading this. If you played the original stalker or are just fascinated with the concept I highly recommend trying this game. Yes it is on the pricer side but I do think this game has potential. Esspecially with the upcoming release of a multiplayer, which I am the utmost excited about, I think it just needs time. The game is still buggy.

When it comes to performance, I am currently in college playing on a gaming laptop with a 4070 and 32 gigs of ram, I have had some lag with higher graphics which in my opinion is to be expected with an open world game. Now Im not justifying that that game should lag with these specs but I also cant say that im running it on a desktop. I will say though, this game is super pretty. I would not recommend running this is if you dont meet the recommended specs because it really does feel aggressive with graphics (ofc theres always a workaround but better safer than sorry)

Mechanics wise it feels like the original, I also cant say I beat the original but I played enough and remember enough to compare the two. The reason why I compare the two is to try and recommend the first. I feel like now the original is overly complicated due to how it was back in the era of booklets with tips :D. Gunplay in this game is completely different then probably most other games you've played. I am super big into shooters but this is a new level of different. I dont want to say that its like CRAZY CRAZY but its still weird to me. Its a little easier than escape from tarkov. The AI is also a little weird with the way it was locking onto me through walls. Lastly I will be honest I have seen some bugs, but not major ones. Nothing has stopped me from playing the game which makes me happy. If bugs are a big turnoff then DO NOT BUY...

So... Would I recommend? Yes... Only if you have the money to spare and it really intrigues you. The game is still buggy and needs some updates but its still pretty fun!
