While the gameplay is mostly minigames which may or may not be someone's cup of tea I still extremely recommend it. The first thing and the one that'll probably stick out to you first is the fantastic presentation. The art style is so simple and extremely charming with all of the gators having a distinct look from one another and that animation is just fantastic. I've been a fan of Lindsay and Alex Small Butera's animations since Baman and Piderman and this is just great stuff. Everything is so smooth and expressive and it all moves together so smoothly to make the game just a game visual treat to the eyes. The soundtrack is also great stuff going for the sort of stuff in your typical noir film which combined with the more desaturated colors gives the whole thing a noir feel and I'll admit that many times when I was playing it I just sat back and listened to the soundtrack. Presentation doesn't make a game whole however and that's where the writing comes in. There were so many moments in which I just laughed super hard to the jokes as they all hit their punchline and due to the amount if their is a joke you don't find funny let me tell you there will most likely be several more to come that will. Not only were the jokes amazing, but I ended up falling in love with plenty of the characters as almost everyone is filled to the brim with charm and because of how varied they are there will at least be one you'll end up liking and due to how everyone is connected via family connections everyone has them so you can figure more clues about the dynamic of the family as a whole. So what about the minigames themselves you may ask. Well I rather enjoyed them. Sure they aren't too difficult and are rather simple they still were fun to play or were just too damn funny for me not to love. The minigames are also very varied so it doesn't feel at all repetitive except for one exception although it only shows up twice and is rather quick to get through. I highly recommend Later Alligator as it is just a great game through and through that if I had one word to describe it that would be charming. It is only 18 bucks and that'll be 18 bucks well spent.

I absolutely adore this game. I love the creative and fun level design, the charming cast of characters, the surreal and dark sense of humor, the unique and fun abilities, and a lot more. This is a game I loved from the beginning to almost the end. Yeah the only major flaw I have is with the final level, but other than that the game is one I highly recommend to nearly everyone and is one I will still continue to play and enjoy. Plus it has the milkman which instantly raised the quality of the game even more. It is only $10, so please get it and have fun.
