Really enjoying the game. My only real issue so far with it is the religious crap it implements. I suppose fantasy is fantasy though, lol.

I beat Elden Ring and it was fun even though it was difficult because there was stuff to do while leveling to get stronger. This game is so far tedious to say the least. I'm level 51 and still can't beat the first boss. I've gotten her down to about 10% life, but I've fought here at least 50 times now, and honestly I'm not sure if I want to continue at this point.

@Jomochiro Thanks for the response. I actually did keep at it and finally beat Pieta after getting to level 68. The next boss was much easier and I beat her on my second try. I wish there was neutral recommendation, but since there's not I'm going to change my review to recommended with caveats. I know a lot of people probably just think I should "get good", but I don't know that that is going to happen lol so it's probably on me to just keep grinding till I can get the difficulty I need. Even in Elden Ring I was probably way over-leveled before I finally beat the game - there was just more to do between boss fights which helped tremendously to make the grind not feel like a grind.

This game could be fun if they didn't make you sit there for long periods crafting one thing and unable to do anything else. You should be able to create things at your workbench instantly and only things that need to be processed should take time so it can be processing while you're gathering or exploring. This game needs to take a look at games like Valheim for inspiration. Currently it is just not as fun as it could be.

Never got into the other Dark Souls games, but I've been enjoying this one. For me, it's the exploration and leveling I enjoy more than just straight-lining it from one boss to the next. Graphics are awesome, and I love the random encounters. All of the creatures are intimidating at first, but overcoming them is always rewarding. Having lot of fun so far and would recommend to anyone who enjoys good combat, exploration, treasure hunting, and a decent story.

So much fun. The music, animation, story and combat make for a relaxing adventure game. Love it.

Tedious, frustrating, boring. Constantly having to manage health, stamina, rest, heat, cold, and storage is just not fun. Game has potential, but I'm gonna say it's not for me.

Love this game, but be prepared for lots of toxicity. For the most part I've disabled chat to combat this. Also if you want all the fancy upgrades be prepared to shell out cuz they ain't cheap.

if you wanna play a good civ game just stick with civ 5 or 4. was hoping this game would introduce a lot of cool new features / techs like alpha centauri back in the day. i really wanted to like this game but so far i am not impressed.
