I'm tired of predatory DLC strategies. They trap you in by selling you a cut version of the same and then sell you hundreds of dollars worth of DLC.

Hear me out - making a DLC such as adding a new animal pack takes weeks at most, but then they sell it to you for $10 a pop. If CD Project Red can practically make a whole new game and give it to you for free as a DLC then you can surely make at least 80% of the content in the game available for the base users. Never mind that you most definitely cut the content out of the game to sell it separately in the first place.

Gothic 1 IS the undying classic of the open world RPG genre. It's hard, frustrating, unforgiving and quite frankly looks like ♥♥♥♥. You'll love it.

On one hand, FreeBird games has come a long way.

On the other, it still invokes the same feelings the very first To The Moon did, back so many years.

It's just great.

This game reminded me what childhood feels like. It's quite life-changing, in a way.

EDIT: Most of the technical issues have been fixed throughout the years.

Original Review: The game itself is fun. But technically? It's a disaster.

They had 2 years to fix it, yet I buy it on Steam and the first thing I get is countless crashes and broken servers, as well as lack of any steam-specific infrastructure. You have to use xbox accounts to invite friends.

The developer studio clearly cares little about convenience for players.

I enjoyed this game alot. It's basically a short text quest that tells you of an 18 year old boy on his birthday.

At first it might be a little overwhelming, all the text messages. But you get used to it pretty quickly as you progress into the plot, and start enjoying it.
The hints aren't too obvious, you need to think here and there, but also aren't overwhelming. Feels good to solve everything on your own.

I recommend to try this game out. While I'm a hardcore gamer, I enjoy letting myself rest a bit on the casual games, and I encourage you to do so, too.

*You're warned*
One moment in the game bothered me. In the Sam-thing-else profile, there's a dude who Sam chatted with and he was pretty supportive. It ends with him sending a photo and asking Sam to do the same. Sam haven't done that before losing the phone, and you need to do that to proceed further into the plot. That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so badly. Developers, please think about it and don't include ♥♥♥♥ like that into your stories. Ever.

This game's a masterpiece. It had one of the best communities in all of gaming industry as a whole. Playing in teams with random people was a pure pleasure.
Not to mention the game's simple yet catchy mechanics, which can go deeper and deeper as you continue to, it might seem, play the same thing again and again.

All of that said, Guns of Icarus is dead. Long live Guns of Icarus.

I'd allow myself to say, that this game has much more in-depth detail in it's story than "To The Moon" or "Finding Paradise". Which is logical, it's only 1 hour while being developed for quite a long time.

But this is not a game. It's a.. theatre? It's a story. A bird story.
If You're not into theatre, or "Long cutscenes" as some people called it, it won't be worth Your attention.

P.S. It gets even better after playing "Finding Paradise". Makes you question everything you see.
