There are parts of it I liked, and parts of it I didn't like. In particular the difficulty spike between chapters 2 and 3 was a bit absurd IMHO but what do I know I'm not good at bullet hells. I can't really go much deeper into things without spoiling the game, and as we all know that would be the cardinal sin of a review.
As far as gameplay goes, if you enjoyed Undertale you'll enjoy Deltarune. It's hardly what I'd call "more of the same" with Deltarune's gameplay being far deeper and more varied than Undertale's, but it very much carries its predecessor's DNA with pride.
I want to be very clear that I'm labelling this "not recommended" for now because the game is really only half complete. This is not the full experience, and we're going to be left waiting for, what, 3 more chapters? If the release of these four chapters is anything to go by, don't expect the game to be done til at least 2028.
Lmao.
I think this game is overall quite good and very much worth the time to put in, but if you get it now just be prepared to wait with the rest of us.

Every time I start a new playthrough, I say to myself "surely this time I won't cry my eyes out!"

And invariably every playthrough ends with me in puddle of my own tears.

10/10 incredible game.

I used to play this game a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this game to anyone anymore. I signed on for the first time in a long while only to discover that a lot of the powersets were suddenly locked behind paywalls. Basic powers, things that anyone were allowed to use, were suddenly unusable. The greed in this game is insane. It is worth neither your time nor your money.

This is the video game that makes me love video games again. Elden Ring is everything I ever wanted in a game. It's big. It's beautiful. And more importantly than everything else, it's a game that respects my time and money as an adult. It doesn't try to force me to spend money on needless microtransactions. It respects my time with a seamless open world full of mysteries, wonders, and treasures.

If you were holding off on playing this game because you heard it was hard, just know that Elden Ring is the most accessible soulslike game ever. There are mechanics built into the game to make it an easier experience, because everyone should experience this game.

Dark Alliance is a deeply flawed game. Not necessarily a bad game, but from my short experience I cannot call it anything but flawed.

The combat feels like it wants to take cues from God of War (PS4), Horizon Zero Dawn, and Dark Souls, but the AI is clunky and unresponsive, the dodging is slow and lacks I-frames, the abilities are unsatisfying to use, and the list goes on.
Add on characters I give zero ♥♥♥♥♥ about, a distinct lack of magic class, and puzzles that aren't really even puzzles, Dark Alliance is a passable action game at best, but very much a lackluster Dungeons and Dragons game.

Whoever thought to make a Dungeons and Dragons game that A: had no magic character and B: had no character creation clearly did not understand D&D's major draw in pop culture these days. I cannot begin to fathom how anyone thought excluding custom characters (LET ALONE A MAGIC CLASS) was a good idea. I know they're adding a magic user in the DLC but given how rocky a launch this is, that feels too little too late. A god knows if they'll ever have the balls to give us character creation (they probably won't, which sucks coz this game feels like it should have been built around that from the get go).

But I digress.

Pros: It's pretty to look at. It's fun to mindlessly wail on enemies, since that's about all they're good for. Missions are simple and quick, with most taking around 20-30 minutes maximum to complete. There's a lot of personality in the characters (seriously, I get a laugh every time I sent a goblin flying with the barbarian's golf swing and the poor little goblin screams, it's hilarious).

Cons: seriously, who tf are these characters and why should I care? No I-frames in a game where you're constantly surrounded by enemies is a huuuuuge problem. SERIOUSLY, WHERE'S THE DANG MAGIC? Leveling up doesn't feel satisfying, feats are just pointlessly minor boosts, while moves are more impactful but cost the same resource you need to upgrade your items. Also, it has looter shooter elements but won't let you change gear mid-mission, which feels like a betrayal of both the dungeon crawler and the looter shooter genre.

I give the game a 5/10. It's passable for what it is. I suspect it'd be more enjoyable with friends, but I hesitate to ask any of my friends to buy this game, at least until some of these issues are dealt with. At least add I-frames to dodging and make combat a bit more satisfying. Again, I wouldn't call this game bad, but it is deeply flawed.

Duel Links is very weird, when you look at it as a fan of the TCG. It's watered down, missing out on a lot of the best mechanics that Yugioh has to offer, and lacks the same level of gameplay depth that the core game has. That being said, after a year of playing Duel Links on mobile device, I can say without a shadow of doubt that Yugioh Duel Links is the best way to play Yugioh as of right now.
The main format of the game is in complete shambles while Konami continues to smoke oodles of crack and release overpowered cards, but Duel Links is closely gatekeeped from these broken cards and mechhanics, making it a much more friendly game to newcomers, and while it lacks the intense spamming and combo potential of the main game, it still has enough strategic depth to give casual players and fans a challenge. Perhaps the biggest selling feature is that, unlike Hearthstone, Duel Links has a robust single player experience that guides you slowly through the core mechanics of the game before adding more, like fusion summoning and ritual summoning. As of right now, Synchro and Xyz summoning are not in the game, but if the trends persist the way they are, we should see synchro added at the end of this year and Xyz at the end of next year.

All in all, I give Duel Links 8/10, -2 points because it can be difficult to get the cards you really want.

I have a lot of time logged in this game, but recently it just won't run on my computer, and I really don't understand why, and it has left me immeasurably frustrated because I am left unable to play what is arguably my favorite MMO. If I can get it working again I'll change my review but unfortunately I just don't see that happening any time soon :(

I highly recomend this game to anyone that's a fan of indie games, great music, or crying. Or a fan of all three.

Undertale is perhaps the best RPG I've had the pleasure of playing in a very long time. The story is moving, the characters are entertaining, and...

Well best not to say.

Pick up this game. You won't regret it.

If you've ever played any of the other games in this franchise, I can tell you right now, pick this game up. You will enjoy it. It's light-hearted, silly, anthropomorphic animal fun. That being said, I look forward to the day when Ty gets a proper, 3D sequel. As it is, this can barely be called a spin-off. There is no voice acting to speak of, which sucks given that the voice acting in the previous games is what really gave the games their personality, selling me on the Australian Outback theme. The animations almost make me feel like I'm playing Scribblenauts, what with each character being a puppet whose pieces animate mostly by rotating. There are skins to collect and different weapons to purchase. Jumping feels floaty, and the story feels very light, but there are a ton of collectables strewn about each level. That being said, the game isn't very challenging in terms of puzzles or platforming challenges, and if you get killed you will instantly respawn at your last Porta-potty.

That being said, in a world oversaturated with shooters and retro indie games, it was nice to see an old franchise pop up out of the blue.
