The nonogram controls are somewhat clunky, the alchemy part is kinda meh. And Emil is outright annoying - he's supposed to be cute, instead he's grating and boring.

The puzzles are so simple you can call them story mode, the art style is an acquired taste, and the plot is rather contrived, to say the least. Some say it's essentially trash when it comes to the ending, and I cannot really argue with that.
Still, I enjoyed this game, ending included. Maybe I'm just a hack who likes such cheap plots, and a casual gamer who likes a story mode difficulty. Or maybe it's actually good. I neither know, nor really care at this point, to be honest, my only concern is that I do not regret spending my money on it.

Major note: the demo is accurate in terms of art style and gameplay, but misleading about the tone and some themes. That's inevitable, because that's the actual twist, but still.

It's ironic: the game is pretty great, but I hate it, yet still my review is glowing (well, trust me, I mean it).

The story is melancholic and, more importantly, coherent, the visuals have a distinctly whimsical mood, and the idea behind the puzzles is quite interesting (it just doesn't work for me).
Definitely give it a try. Although a free demo would be nice.

The engine is really dated, and the whole thing is very formulaic, but unexpectedly fun and engaging.
I'm feeling myself a little stupid, but not regretting.

This is basically "What if Alucard from SotN was gay?"

Pretty solid metroidvania, especially for an indie studio.
Several animations, weapons and spells directly invoke the feelings from the Symphony of the Night.
Only it's sunny and bright instead of grim and gloomy, but that is not a complaint.

Gameplay is decent, although I'm not an expert on metroidvanias.

Has explicit gay sex scenes as the core feature - even if you toggle them off it's obvious what's happening, so beware if you don't like this stuff.
Also, said scenes are surpsingly decently drawn.
And no, sex is presented in a positive and enternaining way.

Worldbuilding is rather flimsy, but that's a norm for the genre.

My main complaint is that it's very short for its price - rumour says it requires about 8 hours to get a 100% completion.
Also, translation is kinda sloppy - it's always easy to understand what's said in text, but it's riddled with bad spelling and grammar hiccups, although the devs are promising to clean it up.

As much as I loved the game and the setting, currently it is effectively dead, and even before that the African chapter was sup par, compared to the rest. The tragedy of questionable decisions by the management.

It's a pity there's no button for "neutral" review - overall it's very interesting and funny for all its flaws, and I would actually recommend it to clear the storyline. Once.
I do not recommend deep investment and spending more time after that.

I agree with people wishing it was a singleplayer. Heck, I would buy it if it was a book.

Gameplay may be a bit repetitive after a while.

The scenario is not your standard cliche, they put some work in both story itself and how it is told.

Characters are alive and well-fleshed out.

Graphic is old, but not glaringly so.

Character design is nice and setting visuals are magnificent - drab grey and brown never looked so cool. And this is not a sarcasm.

Beautiful metroidvania with great storytelling.
