It has promise, but any patches only break things that weren't an issue at launch. Monks will glitch out and won't heal nearby units, soldiers can't move in a straight line, siege moves closer than necessary to fire at objects already in range. I can go on. It's a mess, and not worth your time or money to get.

I liked the concept, but its execution is a swing and a miss.

Too many trolls and unbalanced mechanics. Frequent crashes count as disconnects, apparently, so you get penalized for it.

ETA - To clarify, there are good aspects of this game, too. Steam just doesn't have a neutral rating.

As a general rule, I rarely like any sort of horror/suspense game, but Phasmo is a notable exception. They have an active development team/community, and while there are optimization issues, the replayability of gameplay is exceedingly enjoyable, especially with friends. I still find myself going into locations with a sense of dread, wondering where the ghost is or when it will hunt. I look forward to seeing new maps/ghosts/game mechanics as this game moves more and more towards completion. This indie game is far better than some games made by AAA studios.

As a game and as an idea, I thoroughly approve. It's bare-bones right now and there are glitches/strange AI behavior sometimes, but that's to be expected at this stage of development. There's something thrilling about waiting in the dark for Bigfoot to attack you with a street sign, thinking that every cracking tree branch is the Big Fur-ball himself and wondering if you can get to a zip line in time (without accidentally jumping off mid-journey). I look forward to seeing where this game goes next.

Can't change rules from Classic, despite being advertised as having that ability...it just launches the game lobby. Multiple glitches loading and setting up the game. DO NOT BUY.

Played as the Ottomans...went on the war path and conquered all in sight. A massive coalition formed against me (300k+ strong) and crashed the game. Hours of playtime all for naught. Totally would do this again.

ETA - 1.33 is incredibly buggy. Added more bugs than it fixed. I would definitely roll back to at least 1.32.

Pathfinding is even worse than in AoE 2 DE.

The UI needs some work, but overall I find the game enjoyable.

Very fun and enjoyable. Great activity to do with friends...or enemies...or that random guy across the street...or your local FBI agent...or your cashier...or your teacher...or your dog...what was I saying?

Oh yeah! Get the game, and get some friends. It's worth it. :)
