Don't get me wrong CK3 is a good game. I just don't think it improves enough on CK2's excellence to warrant an impressive review. It makes a lot more things in CK2 simpler and easier to understand to the first time player and the tutorial is effective. The game also has some much improved graphics. However, it just doesn't add enough new elements from CK2.

Nice game overall. Haven't run into any bugs so far. The inclusion of civics and special scenarios is a nice touch. The hunter-gathering of animals is also knew. Doesn't feel completely like a Civ remodel. While there's only one way to win, there's many different paths to gaining fame which keeps thing interesting. The trailer doesn't help with doing the game justice - makes it look like you're buying a $70 history documentary. While the idea of continually switching civilizations each era provides a differentiating factor from previous games, it does feel odd. In addition, the characters just don't feel lively and realistic, and there's no accents or language changes through time, which could've easily been incorporated.

My review: 8/10 (great but not excellent)

Great game so far. I can't wait to see what the game is like when it's complete. I like the addition of factions and different clans.
I like the storylines but it would be better if there were more because I often see the same story line multiple times.

Best Game EVER!

Fun for a little while but then gets boring. Its got just enough goodness that you should buy it and because of the cheap price;)
