I haven't encountered most of what the negative reviews are referencing as far as game breaking bugs go. I have encountered some annoying ones, but nothing that, big picture, is keeping me from enjoying the game.

And man am I enjoying it.

I've played quite a bit of PoE, I consider it one of my top all time favorite games. Last Epoch might have it beat. The amount of agency you have as a player over how you want to play - whether it's build/skill tree related, crafting, end game progression, or even itemization (trade vs increases drops) it seems like EHG has thought of it all. They have somehow figured out a way to let players have their cake and eat it too.

Lastly, the aesthetics of this game are beautiful. The sounds of attacks feel impactful and mighty, the monster sounds are authentic to their biomes, the voice acting is skillfully executed.

I'd give this game a 10/10, minor bugs and server issues notwithstanding. The core gameplay is that good.

Might be the greatest game ever made. Definitely top five.

Simply put, this is the best ARPG out there. It's everything the Diablo series should have evolved into. There is no game that can match the complexity, customization, and end game that PoE offers.

The only thing I will say as a negative is that the complexity of the gem system and absolutely massive passive skill tree can be a bit of a deterrent for new players, but trust me: put the time into learning the game's mechanics (look up engineering eternity on youtube) and you will not regret it.

Above all, the devs at GGG clearly love this game and care about the community. There have been countless times they have made changes to the game due to the community speaking up. They are upfront with the fans of the game, and do everything in their power to make the game as enjoyable for us as possible. I honestly have never played a game with a better dev team.
