It's very boring. They added more cards compared to the first one, so it's even harder to get any kind of synergy going in the deck

Besides the characters and the movesets it's not very Darkest Dungeon (you're not even in a dungeon)

The first one had that feeling that failures are the result of your decisions, "Overconfidence is a slow and insidiuos killer" and all that, this one just ♥♥♥♥♥ your run with multiple 50 dmg attacks from a single enemy in a single turn

It's not really bad, just tuned to piss me off

The gameplay is dumping your hand, the upgrades are either tiny or sidegrades, the deckbuilding is too expensive and none of the cards do the amount of damage that's writtten on them.
The starting characters are:
A warrior with good tanking and damage skills, and the deck split so that you'll never havehim doing what needs to be done at the time
A rogue guy that's the onnly good one
A sorceress whose deck is 50% bloat
and a priest with 1 healing card out of 15

I've seen my friends have fun with it but I ragequit before I got to the fun part i guess

Used to be fun, they added so much bs in the last 2 updates it no longer is. I don't trust the devs not to make it even worse as time goes on

Using this space to record I had 40 hours in the demo before the full version was available for purchase. Also, the first game I got on release in a long time. Also also, it has beavers.

Been meaning to write a review for a while, but didn't know what to say besides it's fun. You can improve your characters over multiple playthroughs if you're into that

It has an enemy that can move huge distances, takes the whole squad to bring down, 1-2 shot your guys, disable your whole squad from behind the corner AND mind control. I was having fun untill the game spawned two of them together.
If that sounds good to you, have your fun.

Was looking forward to this, but it's just not fun.

The starting weapon is trash, the weapon limit has no business being here, having to stop to shop after each fight is dumb, the skillshots feel like a chore and frustrating when an enemy doesn't die the right way and the companions are a pain to listen to and killsteal and mess up skillshots.

Oh and there's a sequel hook ending because finishing a story is for suckers
