A really bad doom clone......pretty good concept though!

Though the ending feels abit...unfullfilling (all three of them) and dispite the wierd controller scheme this is one of the better RPG maker games and its free to boot with a unique combat system to the RPG maker games.

not that great a game the storyline took less than 3 hours to beat and the story behind it was terrible with extremely bad voice overs. The grenade zombie can 1 shot kill you at anytime making the game extremely frustrating if you dont want to end up broke at the end of the level; i got this game for free from a website and thank god i didnt buy it because it would have been a waste otherwise. It also seems that the game wants you to buy "gold" to get the better guns and auto heal so thank you for microtransactions though you can get this "gold" slowly yourself but i can guarentee your patience will wear off before you can get your first and only auto heal.

As a old gamer i enjoyed the progression of the game dating back from the origonal game boy all the way to your modern hack and slash dungeon crawler. Think of the game if it has multiple personality syndrome and those personalities were final fantasy and Zelda and you have Evoland. Unfortunately the storyline was extremely short and could be put down in a paragraph and it was extremely short i would only get this game if it was on sale for a dollar or two.

Has a pretty good storyline overall though quite short; beat it in 6 hours and thanks to the discovery lights didnt have to fight many creatures either.

Going into this game i thought this would be something like Puzzle Quest since i saw the same setup though it is quite different. First of all how strong you are is compared to the equipment you have on and you dont really pick out your spells they are attatched to your equipment so theres no real customisation; the only spells you can chose cost cash each time you cast them which can get expensive and you cant always find them. One thing ive noticed that happens is the computer suggests a move to you after awhile if you havent moved that will set the enemy up for sucess; ive tested it out afew times by skipping my turn and intuitively knowing what their next move will be. I like the touch of having to repair your equipment though its WAY too expensive to do it so when your item breaks you might as well toss it to the curb. In short it tries to be a puzzle RPG but without any real leveling up benefits other than just increased health and frustrating combat puzzling.

For the price its a pretty good game it reminds me of the old zelda games mixed in with some rpg elements i would give this a look if its on sale. Once you get your healing spell on the game your quite powerful because your mana regenerates so you can have infinite health somewhat,
