"between guilt and fear, i choose happiness". fran bow is on the top of my favorite creepy games list. at the beggining you need to deal with the horror and fear that the context holds. it's really uncomfy but you just can't stop looking for answers because "what the hell is going on?". but as the game develops, you kinda get used to all the creepy and at some point it just turns into a really peaceful and calm type or weird: it's nice to being in there, whatever the truth is. that's exactly what i felt about fran: she's terrified about something that happened and her confusion makes us not trust 100% on her. but then she starts to restore her inner me and suddenly all the terrible things are less scary and more possible than they seemed to be: she's not afraid anymore and that courage is what she really needs to face the real world. but is it real?

i really enjoy the type of game where you have this cute but psycho-freaky-weird vibe. and that's exactly what pony island is. each part of the game is important for the final plot and that shows us how good the elements of this narrative are. you can finish it in a couple hours but i went back for all the tickets, answers and lots of easter eggs that it hides.

a classic type of puzzle that engrosses your attention as you pass through the levels. i really enjoyed the light/dark switch concept, it creates a whole different line of thought. the only thing i would suggest is the possibility of customize the keys. that would be great for people who easily mix up some of them, like me :') | 9/10
