Played this directly after playing the Trilogy so this might be a bit biased..

The writing is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad it's literally unbearable, the story idea is great, the game-play is pretty good, combat is the best in the franchise, but the writing, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing, the whole main dialogue feels like some sort of autistic high-school star-wars spin-off

If you're going to play this game, wait a solid 2 years after playing a proper Mass Effect game before you play this

This game is horribly optimized, running on a Ryzen 9 and a OC'd 3080 I get around 15fps average when controlling a unit, the game is fun (nebelwerfers are insanely OP) but with those framerates it's hard to enjoy it properly. There are tons of bugs too especially when you're controlling a unit, double reloads, empty models in hand when you swap weapons, being able to throw nothing when you run out of grenades. It needs a lot of work but it has promise if the devs keep up.

10/10, all the expansions and updates have now made this game a masterpiece, would definitely recommend.
