POV: it is 2016 and you are farming rebound random weapons 8-man FFA to unlock Grand Finale

good times. game is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great after 6 years

Easily the best writing I have ever encountered in a video game ever, even beating the likes of Supergiant titles for me.

Coming back to this after getting 2 of my friends into the game, rewatching the political quests that I could not do (I picked moralist) and seeing all of the ways Revachol changes depending on what type of character you begin with, 13/10 does not begin to describe the absolute masterpiece this game is.

The political commentary in the quests, albeit confusing at times solidifies perfect allegories about the modern political climate and shoves it to you in a completely raw manner. [spolier]Fascism? Bad. Communism? Bad. Moralist? You're never getting ♥♥♥♥ done to help anyone, you're just another pawn upholding the status quo.[/spoiler] The dialogue in these quests singlehandedly ruined me to the point where I legitimately could not enjoy mediocre stories anymore, and I wish I was joking.

Characterization in this game spawns extensively, with NPC's far and abroad the complete political spectrum each with their own thoughts, personality and way of life breathe life into the game as every interaction always leaves a mark on your character's psyche, and the format of white checks, repeatable actions and failures are what cement your personality as a cop. Seeing how the world and the characters around you shape you from a complete shell of a man to someone with his own personality, someone who's life has meaning (very light spoilers for the final day) really shows an incredibly uniquely crafted perspective that I have never seen in other RPG's. I swear there is no single useless NPC in this game.

This review turned into less of a review but more of a love letter to ZA/UM, but who gives a ♥♥♥♥.

Buy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

now that I've 100%ed it I can wholeheartedly recommend anyone to play this game, incredible amount of replay value and a pretty damn good story

This game is singlehandedly one of my top 10 games ever. The fighting is nice and the story is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. Buy this ♥♥♥♥ right tf now trust me

Although the free version doesn't offer much, the DLC's are worth every single penny. 100% recommend buying.

EDIT: I retract all previous statements, it is much more worth to spend your money on crystal methamphetamine.
